It's sooo boring to write always "amazing", "incredible", "stunning", "great"... on the other hand, I can try to improve my English before my English exam tomorrow, finding some new words to describe your works Smile

This city will be REALLY amazing. Bravo!

You are too kind; thanks a lot for your positive feedback! That is very motivating! Up next will be a proper building again, but before that I will make a short detour to the Legends of the High Seas...

Best y'all!

PS: Best of luck with the exam tomorrow, Skavenblight!

I need to have a table to place the buildings on first. Maybe I'll take a pic of the BTB board but actually I'd rather wait till the proper board is finished.

Then what are you waiting for?? If I have my way you'll need something similar if not identical for our next foray into Mordheim together sir. pirat

The paint job on the old well is magnificent by the way. I should come to Berlin some time and drop a shovel of Manticore Spoor in it. Cool

Regards,

Stuart.

I just put all the scenery and buildings I have on the BTB half (the one without the snow on it). I really don't like it at all. It is very different from what I have in mind (remember this is a inner city setting, there'll be copplestone streets and walkways everywhere) so I don't want to take and upload a photo that gives the wrong impression of how this is going to end up. So you'll have to be patient. Sorry. Smile

Hey Chris!

WOW, that shrine is awesome. The dirty white is just life-like. I am very impressed. In fact I was so impressed that I showed the pic to my gf (she's an art historian).

Which triggered a quite funny incident I think Smile She looks at the pic and goes:

"Pretty cool" (which is one of the greatest signs of appreciation coming from a non-hobbyist) "Do you know what Saint that is?"

Shocked ... I was not expecting that question so I venture a hesitant: "Errrr...Saint Mary...?"

"No" she goes. "Look closely. He is holding a lily. That's Saint Antonius."

Needless to say, I was quite impressed, not least by the fact that she spotted that in a millisecond.

So kudos from my gf aswell Cianty Wink

A SECOND OPINION on the NAME THAT SAINT thingy: I thought the saint was holding the Christ Child; ergo, St. Christopher, which, as the patron saint of travellers, would make sense...I suppose Suspect . geek

OR it could be a shrine to St. Thomas the Wanderer, Patron Saint of random travel & chocolates, seen here clutching an Easter Bunny to his breast. Suspect

Dwelling House
This small dwelling house was scratch-built by Thomas "Chicken" Hahn. You can see some WIP photos here. I really enjoyed painting it and I hope you like it! Smile

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

She saw a lily?? I had to look very closely to even see a vague flowerish detail in his left hand.. that is SOME impressive eye for detail your GF has!! Usually i can pick out details but this is far beyond my skill Wink

She "could" use that magnificent skill for tabletop gaming lol! or at least painting Wink

Anyway, it's mind blowing that she could recognize the statue!!

@ Cianty: brilliantly realistic scenery! man Very Happy

I noticed some pieces on your inn from the original mordheim boxed game, mainly the wolf sign. I have these pieces but have been saving them in hopes of creating a mold since the box game seems to have all but vanished. Did you just have one laying around or am I mistaken? Anyways, beautiful work. Truly great Smile

If you have a look at the WIP thread you will see that the inn is a resin building that I bought off ebay. I didn't add or use any Mordheim pieces for it. Try the Trading Pit - maybe someone has spare ones. Smile
