| I still can't believe how you can paint the scenery so great like the others paint minis. I mean, for most people scenery is not so important, but yours looks brilliant. I definitely need to learn how to make the buildings look as nice as miniatures... like you do | |

| wow, amazing stuff, its hard to decide wich one i like the most, they are all together incredible paint work, and of course , the best is the extra detail, like the posters on the wall, and the ivory and stuff! Really, thats what makes a piece of terrain outstanding, of course the paintingstyle , but abouve everything its those little details that gives those pieces life! Great work cianty, again, iam unworthy! floedebolle | |

| I apologise if this has been adressed before, but how did you do the flowers around the buildings on the first page? | |

| They come as they are. I'm too lazy to dig out proper links... but if you have a look at the blog post for the Blue Wolf Inn then you can find some links there. If not, let me know! | |

| Very nice! Tabletop World was recently posting one of their buildings painted by you on Facebook, I was wondering if you were still working on Gierburg, there's still some people eagerly awaiting the game | |

| Really? Nice. I think I will paint another TW building soonish (probably the old Forge).
I am doing some pondering about Gierburg right now but I really need to get back into gaming first. I'd also like to do a couple of games of Black Scorpion's Cutlass as I really like some of the concepts in those rules. | |

| yup, yet another of your excellent painting trips. Grrrrrrrrrreat ! I am one of those that would very much appreciate a word of advice on how to start painting roof shingles in different tones. Do you just paint the major part a red hue, and leave a certain number unpainted to pick out later in other colours ? How do you keep the randomness in order ? uh ... i mean how do you keep the randomness random ? | |

| Not much has changed since my first building, the Blue Wolf Inn: http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.de/2009/03/innfamous-wolf.htmlI first paint the entire roof in a darkibrown redish colour. Then I start paiting different shingles with different colours. When I use the first colour I paint about 1/5 to 1/4 of all shingles with colour 1. Then I apply the next colour and so on. In the process I do quite often paint shingles that have been painted before. This is often necessary to maintain the look of randomness. And since I use watered down colours applying a new colour on an already painted shingle often creates a new different tone. So colour 1 on colour 2 creates a new colour which I don't "actively" mix and apply. So this way you effectively end up with even more variety than the number of colours/iterations would normally suggest. I hope this helps. | |

| Update time again! I forgot to post the previous building I finished so I'll start with that: The Town House. Another great model from Stronghold Terrain. More photos and a full review on my blog. Today I finished the building fronts, again from Stronghold Terrain. Check out this blog post for a review of their fronts, more photos and a little plea for using fronts in your gaming boards. | |

| Ah, they're a beauty! I loved how the scale and architecture make them match perfectly and yet the different details and colour schemes give them individual identity and character. The one on the far is my favourite - love the roof shape and the little arch on the top floor. Your board ideas are spot on too. I used to think that getting facades like those was a bit of a wasted opportunity as opposed to getting complete houses. Not anymore! Quality stuff, sir! Joao | |

| As always, your buildings are BEAUTIFUL creations. The foreshortened style of buildings have been long a feature on model railroads; they're wonderful of giving the illusion of greater depth...giving access to the interior is also a fine idea for gaming. VERY WELL DONE! By the way, Google Chrome's Malware wouldn't let me access your blog. I'll try on Firefox later. | |
