They are stalagmites. Stalactites are the hangers. I remember the difference from all the "t"s in stalactite; t = top. The ones I did are removable/movable. The dowels they are built around fit into a plastic rods embedded in the cavern floor.

The Fellow on the left is done. The Dullcote is drying as we speak...so to speak.

They have appeared recently in distant Toronto & darkest Ottawa. Nowhere is safe.

The Spook is materializing...so to speak. I did some work of the Haunting Fellow. Taking the photos over a couple of days makes it seem like he is forming as you watch. This is the start; a wire form:


The plumber's epoxy putty head & bead eyes:
