| If anything he makes the Woods darker & spookier. For Mordheim, he could be the source of all the Lucky Rabbit's Feet & such things. | |

| Thanks for the kind reply, Rhydderch. I am glad you like him. The pasty whitish complex does bring out his personality... creepy as it is. | |

| AND there is another creepy Wyrd mini underway. This one is Sammy LeCroix: There is also a new Pinterest inspired Mushroom in the works: ...idle hands & all that stuff. | |

| Creepy with a dash of horror & a healthy dose of whimsy/silliness has become my thing. I am enjoying my insanity. I am happy to see you are also. Thanks for the reply, Jim. | |

| I have been drawing inspiration from my visits to Pinterest. This is an idea I'd like to do in miniature. The illustration is by James Christensen: This is the basis for the conversion, a Safari Ltd. White Rhino from the Michael's in Darkest, Distant Bee Cave: Distractions may not be good for productivity, but they do make life more exciting. | |

| Hmm... You're drawing inspiration from James Christensen, who very much seems to have drawn on Albrecht Dürer in that piece... & Dürer also influenced John Blanche in the way back when, including in creating Mordheim.... So this is likely to be a Mordheim appropriate rhino, if nothing else!
Also, looks like a cool project by any measure.

| Mordheim does have a surrealistic quality to it. SO this would qualify as an appropriate Mordheim mini...I suppose. | |

| Oh, I like the masks on the rhino's armour. You bring your own style to this piece DL. I'm also much reminded of Dürer by Christensens artwork. I ran by the Dürer-House when I visited Nürnberg last weekend but there sadly was no time to enter | |

| Thanks for the kind reply, Grimscull. I am happy you like it thus far. Someone on L.A.F. pointed out the likeness to Durer's works. He actually did a Rhino: Another one by Salvador Dali fits the type as well: Having my work bring such artists to mind is quite a compliment. | |

| Dürer; Dali; DeafNala. Seems like a natural progression to me.
I like the progress so far -- trust you to add faces to a rhino's armoured body. Looking forward to seeing how it progresses!

| I was thinking about doing faces in the side panels as well. Thus far I have resisted the temptation. Thanks for the reply, Rhydderch. | |

| I agree with Grimscull there -- the Goblin Guard fit right in. I think it's partly because they're only small, so they seem to populate the space rather than overwhelming it.
So now we can watch the rhino developing...

| Thanks, Rydderch. The vote of approval on the Goblins is appreciated. Thus far today I have only been posting photos. Tomorrow is a trip to the vet for Damnit The Cat...annual checkup. After that the Rhino will get attention...probably. | |
