Initially, I wanted to build one myself from an Ogre Leadbelcher, but unfortunately I never managed to aquire a Leadbelcher cannon. Then I stumbled upon the swivel gun on ebay and thought I give it a try. Even though it's not a master sculpt, I quite like it.
You have a few swivel guns yourself, don't you? Could you perhaps post some pics of them? When I finish the warband in it's current state, I might give some alternative swivel gunners a try.

Actually, I was pretty surprised how he turned out, too. Most of the guns found their way onto the model by chance. If you look at the first post in this thread, you can see how he looked in the beginning. I then began swapping arms and... well, you see what became of him

And another update! Sorry for the blue-ish pics, but my sister took her camera (which I was using) hostage, so I got my mom's, but I still did not yet find all the configurations and could thus not adjust it properly...

First, we have a slayer pirate, who thought he'd rather replace his lost dwarven honour with the Pirate Code of Conduct instead of a Deah Vow (or whatever they call it). So he quit Long Drong the Wimp, dyed his beard in a more fashionable colour and joined Redbeard, Horror of the High Seas.



Next, we have Booming Bartholomew, a gunner with a blunderbuss.



And last, we have the ex-designated Cabin Boy, who decided to join the Gunners instead. Nonetheless, he's eager to find his treasure. Ladies and Gentlemen, Jan Jansen of the Sartosa Mining Guild.



And last and least, I will show you the WIP for my second Cabin Boy.

Nice I love the character.

Before I actually read the pirate list, I had invisioned a group mixed of all races joined together in the hopes of treasure, not just humans.

I like these guys a lot.

Obviously, I think that mixed races is what a proper Sartosan pirate warband is all about! They should have added animosity rules for them, though

So you're new Cabin Boy is a Barrel...well different strokes & all that. The Blue Bearded Dwarf ROCKS & the Gunners turned out VERY nicely. The Big Dutch Bash is working its Wonders. WELL DONE!

Well you certainly work well under pressure. The Lads look WONDERFUL, a unique Band of Rogues VERY MUCH in character with the Pirate image. They ARE all SO beautifully done it's impossible to pick out a favorite, although I do have a fondness for Ogres. WELL DONE!

I am very glad I finally finished the warband (it's actually my first completely finished warband incl. additional recruits for Mordheim so far), it has been a lot of work lately (painting nearly every spare hour for the last couple of days). And I even managed to get some stripey pants thrown in

The Second Mate features in the second episode of The Perilous Adventures of the Violet Tendencies (*) (The Flight of Jan Jansen), by the way. He's got long, braided hair, a lot of cloaks and a huge axe, so happy guessing which model it is (or not ) And don't tell them, Deaf!

That is REALLY an INCREDIBLE PIECE OF WORK!
Some of the Lads are even identifiable from your stories. Beyond being examples of some EXTREMELY FINE conversion & painting work, the amount of character & personality you managed to convey in a Group of Rogues that dispite their individualistic appearance look like a cohesive crew is ASTOUNDING. TRULY A MASTERFUL PIECE OF WORK!
