Well, the thing is, I'm still awaiting some pirates from Black Scorpion and want to test on whom the squirrel looks better. As soon as they arrive, I'll put Knuck-Knuck on some cool pirates shoulder and we will live a happy life on the high seas

Yet another update on the ship

The front deck now got a rail, with a little hole for the cannon.



The poop deck is half done... unfortunately, I ran out of matches so I have to buy some new ones first until I can continue. The windows are made out of smaller matches. On the side facing the main deck, there will be two doors. One leading to the cabin, the other down into the hull.

The ship is looking good, Eliazar. Any plans on what she's going to be called?

In any case, great work - it's the sort of inspiration I need to build a ship as well. I've always wanted to...

Currently, she is called "Violet" due to the violet foam she's made of. I haven't decided on anything yet, as I didn't really think about it, either.

I think it's time for another update. I have been quite busy the last couple of weeks, so I only managed to get a bit of the ship done... Now there is only the main deck, a ram bow and parts of the mast missing (and the paint, of course...)

Actually, Violet's not a bad name - but you'd need another word. Maybe she could be called 'Violent Violet'. In any case, it's really shaping up well, and it looks like you've got most of the fiddly delicate stuff out of the way. Only planking on the main deck to do, really! Excellent work!

I rather like the name "Violet" also. So far my ships all have girls names: the Nasty Nancy, Wicked Wanda, and Saucy Susan; it just seems appropriate to name ships after females.

I agree! Violet is a great staring point for her name. I quite like Mindless Violet or maybe Violet Tendencies.


If you want to sail in less pun-infested waters how about something like Violet's Hope, Violet's Curse or Violet's Shame.

Violet's a pretty good name, actually. I have to name my boat something... I might steal a joke from a friend of mine, who named a Wench character "Malaria", adding "We just picked her up in South America." 'Malaria' does sound like a girl's name, when you think about it.
