Nicely done on Redbeard! The mug O' Ale is just a distraction, then you get cut down by his cutlass.

VERY, VERY COOL mini, VERY! Actually, he looks like moi, but cool nevertheless. You REALLY captured the Pirate Persona with this Scurvy Knave. A FINE piece of conversion & painting; he IS most definitely my favorite of the minis you've posted thus far. VERY WELL DONE!

Wow. The painting is very good, that's for sure. However, I don't think I can think of another model with as much character as your Redbeard. Truly an amazing pose/conversion. Truly inspirational they are, sorry I have no Victoria Lamb references to add to this, but keep up the good work and please- more pictures!!!

I just came across some Orc Pirate type minis by Uncharted Lands for us less than skilled with GS crowd:



They have two more packs at present with a varyiety of weapons, AND can be had from www.thewarstore.com.




Well I went back to check the price: $8.39 for the three or four minis. SO... I though I'd show the others.

Once I have moved to Berlin (~end of year) we can maybe arrange a proper duel of MH/LotHS and fight this out.

Jiang Wei IS a definitive Pirate character; very nice piece of conversion & very well painted. The WHOLE Crew look to be EXCELLENT minis. I see the Big AmsterdamMeetup [Dutch Treat I ] IS proving to be a motivational factor here. WELL DONE!

Thanks for all the comments! They are a big motivational factor. As is, of course, the big meeting, which has me sitting in my little room hours upon hours, painting, converting and listening to audibooks

Von Kurst, I think there is a tutorial about creating sails, too. Perhaps you could make a PDF out of both and let DaBank host it, for I suppose GW Australia will get a fancy new website online shop, too, which will most probably see the tutorial disappear with all the other great content.
