ebay is your friend! they sell the monkeys with a few bits for a few bucks

The dwarf cook I got from ebay... I think he is a crew member of some kind of dwarf cannon.

Eliazar, it's a superb effort and I'm relieved to have caught the thread from another link you dropped on the forum!

The ship is looking very promising. My suggestion for her, and you might llike to build/paint some dismembered Kraken body parts to decorate the deck (sushi for your Cathayan first mate?) would be; Violet's Tentacles

While doing some modelling for other projects, I had a few ideas for additional crew and I decided to put them together right away.

First, a member of the cannon crews:



I decided that it's time for Redbeard's flag to be shown at the battlefield (even though the Captain is currently missing after an evil ghoul attacked him), so here's the standard bearer:



And here is the newest race to be welcomed aboard the ship (even though not everyone was happy with the decision.. but we have to start small if orcs and marauders shall join as well some day ):

AAARRGH! MORE PIRATES! The Gnoblars should be cool if somewhat useless as Pirates. AND I LOVE Standards...no proper Pirate Captain should leave ship without one.

This is an absolut nice pirate warband with a lot of character.

Unfortunately they were decimated in Amsterdam. But that happens. In how many games you received such big losses?.

Do you play with handgun house rules or are your pirates just fluffy.

If I remember correctly, it took 4 games to wreck them completely, even though I rebought as many fighters as I could... I think I had at least two fighters a game dying afterwards etc., plus some robbed and captured results

Regarding the handguns, I don't really understand your question... as far as I know, pirates can unfortunately only take handguns as missile weapons, and so I included some

I do not know, if there is an updated pirate list, but in tc09 gunners can not take crossbows, but pirates can use crossbows.

I do not think that i iam a powergamer but i only play one gunner with sviwelgun and pirates with crossbows, because of the useless handgun rules. The Swivelgun i only play because I have got a cool model.

In meantime we use a houserule with improved handguns and hochland long rifle to compensate the inferiority of their rules.

Never mind, back to your warband.

Ooohhh, somehow I completely missed that pirates can take crossbows... Well, then I'll definitely use them as counts as pirates with crossbow from now on, as the handguns really are worthless. Perhaps they will do a little better then

This is my first post, my apologies if this is not the right place. Your priate warband is very well done. Has anyone seen or ran an all pirate warband campaign? I can imagine some really great combat via ship to ship on a mostly water and islands based board. Anyway, just a thought...great modelling.
