| What DeafNala said. The posters add so much character to your terrain...
I'm glad you painted the Renedra building. I was waiting to see one painted. It does look awesome and seems to match the rest of your town really well.
By the way, the kit price is very accessible and it comes with a few accessories, which is always a plus!

| Thanks guys! Glad you appreciate the posters... I do some google image-searching now and then, always on the lookout for cool posters. Resize them, print 'm, glue to buildings and apply one or two washes. One of my sources is Cianty's page by the way, so cheers man, for giving me this idea which I'm shamelessly copycatting - JoaoS wrote:

I can only agree. Saw the kit in an online shops' newsletter, and the price made me order immediately. I've used all accessories once, leaving me with one spare ladder and one spare pitchfork to use in later projects. Too bad there was only one wheel, but on the other hand, if there were two wheels, I'd probably not have used them here, and saved them to make a cart on my own later.

| I have to agree with all the others: nice stalls. and those posters are a very nice addition to! my one point of critique would be that the stalls look kinda 'rough' (at least the butcher's stall) I think some thinner planks would give it a finer, more in scale look. (if you get what I mean?)
that renedra barn looks great! I've been wanting to scratch build one myself for a while now but looking at that price.... where did you get it? and do you think I could order one through the World's end store?

| I think I can see where you are coming from with that remark.
I mainly used the two sizes of planks to make the stalls as different from each other as possible whilst keeping the same overall appearance. Does the backside of the weapon-shop have that same effect on you? I'm just asking, because I used the same planks there...
I bought the shed @ Warlord Games for 17 pounds (shipping included), which is slightly less than 20 euros.
In as far as I can remember, Peter doesn't have Renedra in his range, but it never even occured to me to ask him about it... silly me. Maybe it is worth a try

| Well well well, I force-uploaded a bunch of updates on my PC. Result is that it's talking to my digicam again, only my browsers crash when I try to upload piccies to Photobucket, Google+, Hotmail, etc. So I saved the piccies on a usb-drive, and am now uploading them from my work-PC... hardly an ideal situation Very small update, just simply adding a couple of canons to my collection. Things that make you go **boom** I think it's about time I start thinking up a pirate-themed Guns of Navarrone scenario | |

| Pirates & black powder weapons are a natural match...the bigger, noisier, & smokier the better. Your Big Noisy Smokers turner out GREAT; the natural wood carriages give them a suitably generic, possibly recycled look....& I love the bronze barrels. VERY WELL DONE! Congratulations on a partial victory over your Camera. | |

Thanks! For me too, it was wonderful finally seeing it all come together on a gaming table and actually being used. Made all the work (who am I kidding, I love making scenery) I put into it worthwhile. But now I do realise that whilst I might have a tad too much scenery for big games with units, like the one in the pictures above, I still don't have nearly enough for skirmish games:( Oh well, got a lead on a spiffy second hand MegaBlocks ship, and I've bought a Revell ship. Still debating wether both 'll become ships to 'park' in a harbour or wether I'll turn one into a wreck that has been included in a house. Oh, and I do realise now the dice-tower is nowhere to be seen on the table, I put it on the side, and was used throughout the entire game, and only one dice came out on it's side, so I'm happy with the results on that one too!

| Oooo-kaaay
Boathouse it is then... Now I know someone showed me links to a boat on top of/integrated into a wooden tower.
Only, in the meantime I've had a severe PC crash, lost all of my carefully stored favourite links, and can't for the life of me remember on which forum I saw that house, but I'd really like to do something similar.
By the way, the megablocks ship (huuuuuuge thing!) is mine now. With a fair number of spiffy extra's for whom I already have some cool terrain-ideas. Granted, the ship's going to need a LOT of coffee stirrers before I can start painting it, but still, I'm very happy! Just got to paint up a 15-strong squad of Warmachine Mercenary soldiers as a payment before I start any new projects for my own... Oh well, at that price, the ships' a bargain!

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for!
First need that I'll need to locate = a large, wide base to support a top-heavy structure with a base considerably smaller than the top!

| YAY! I'm planning on building a ship on top of a Skullvane Manse, in place of the observatory tower. (But it will be a while as I hope to complete my Wortbad terrain set first!) | |

| Very small uopdate (no, not a ship on a building, sorry ) But the opportunity presented itself. SWMBO was cleaning out the kids' toys. Amongst the stuff she was going to throw away was a set of those cheapo cowboys 'n indians (you know, like we used to get green soldiers when we was kids?) and in there was a canoe. So I salvaged that, primed it and gave it a couple of layers of paint. As you can see here it's quite big, but still not too big to become unrealistic And I also salvaged a couple of wheels I will be re-using to make a cart or two, no doubt | |

| Still no boathouse, but 2 smaller constructions First off, a shooting stand, maybe more something siege-themed, but hey, every pirates' cove needs to be prepared for hostile rum-raids, right? And the opening is at just the right height for a 28mm fig to avoid any LoS discussions... And then a piece from the Megablocks pirate-ship. First I wanted to make a costruction to hang this cage under, but my wife came up with this idea : The fun part : this cage opens up So you can easily put a prisoner in there, and a baddy under the cage to defend it | |
