| Thanks!
And now that you mention them, I have been pondering the possibility of adding sea-monsters to my collection, to make my Pirate games more.... 'interesting'
Still need to find figs that'd suit the description though...

| For Deep Ones Rafm made some and Carnivale(sp?) has a current range. I just realized I could have themed my Lizardmen as Deep Ones in our current Karibbean campaign, but it didn't occur to me when we started. Next time. | |

| In the meantime, I've just finished making a water well... A better view on the water (couldn't get a good angle with the roof on top), the roof will be glued in place afterwards : And a size-piccie (can't remember where I put the pirate-lass I usually use, so I took the Ork I usually used for size-comparisons before I started using the pirate-lass) | |

| Thanks! Glad you like the roof-tiles, as they took up most of the work. Each 'n every one was cut out and glued into place individually out of cardboard | |

| I love all the extra pieces that you have done to spice up Porto Pulpo. From the pillory made from coffee stirrers to the carts; from the hangman's platform to the outhouses; from the small details such as the nets to the grand details such as the statues and the fountains, everything is just so characterful and appropriate for a pirate-themed table. To be honest, all this needs is a ship-shaped house! You may also want to look at the third creative blog spot found in this site: http://terciocreativo.blogspot.com/p/tienda-online-online-store.htmlThey have some pretty amazing pirate-themed miniatures and buildings which you may want to check out and acquire. Great Job and more power! | |

Joao Joao, I've not forgotten about you! I have had a small inspirational dip the last couple of weeks, but I've just stumbled upon an object which I intend to give a second life as a scenery piece. The creative thinking process has been very active again, and I'm about to start-a-moddelling again, and I will take step-by-step piccies of the next build : a hous (yes, indeed, finally a home-made house, in stead of the pieces I've been buying) To get me motivated on the build, I decided to put all of the scenery on a table, just to see what that looks like : Thats's looking a plenty already, but it isn't nearly enough yet

| Hey Quase, no worries. Take your time - it usually takes me a long time to come up with stuff, let along tutorials, so I totally understand. Nice terrain shot, by the way! You should be proud of your creations! Good luck with the upcoming projects! Joao | |

| I love the way you painted your 4 ground cart. Did the gravure (don't know the word in english but you're belgian you will understand) stay after painting the piece ? I'm afraid to paint mine but yours give me motivation. Is the Cthulhu statue come from the call of Cthulhu card game ? | |

| Thanks! I think I know what you mean (I'm dutch-speaking, but I have a decent knowledge of french) Actually, the 4Ground cart does not have any visible woodgrain (fil de bois, is that what you meant?). But the seperation in between the planks was in no way whatsoever clogged by primering or painting the fig, so those 'gravures' staid. My woodgrain is painted on by hand... And yes, that's one of the statues you get with the Call of Cthulhu boxed card game. You can order them seperately on their site | |

| My pleasure. I have been having some cut & pasting fun in the meantime... First off, a bunch of linear obstacles. Life-saving in games such as Warmachine, but just as handy as a well protected firebase in Mordheim... Wooden beams Wooden planks With my size-comparison-Orc Should there ever be no need for linear obstacles on the gaming table, these pieces can easily be stacked up to create one big, line-of-sight blocking structure : And since I was having fun with balsawood, PVA glue and whatnot, I assembled this from coffee-stirrers, eating-sticks and statay-sticks, oh, and 4 Pardulon wooden kegs A vessel which any self-respecting pirate will need to commandeer at some point in his/her career : With Barry, the same Orc as above | |

| The lumber cargo/obstacles look good; just the sort of thing for a seaport. The raft is TERRIFIC... VERY CLEVER use of things at hand. WELL DONE!
