Same here, but I'll find a way to hide/repair the missing parts In the meantime, I started constructing a little something to use the book that came with the boat... Every pirates' den needs a Code

| And two more smaller constructions... The first started with a book coming from the MegaBlocks ship, which I gave a stand, so now Porto Pulpo has got it's very own 'Code' And OK, I admit it, I was a wee bit inspirationless as far as the text went... Barry trying to read the code : And then I made a wrack, to compliment the gallows and the pillory (made from an old Gobbo Doom Diver) And Barry checking out wether it is 'urty enough... | |

| So, just like BoreasNL, I visited Crisis. And just like him, my first stop (after the second-hand fair in my case) was at Thomarillion. Only, my 'loot' turned out a wee bit different from his. First off, this little cart drew my attention : And when I saw this little boat, I just couldn't resist : There's one more ziplock I bought from them... But you guys'll just have to be patient until I've painted it | |

| Thanks! Time to show the other ziplock-contents from Thomarillion : A set of piggies, which I expanded with some piggies of another manufacturer (can't remember the name). So I made them a nice pigsty, added a fishingnet and some posters and painted it all up. And a size-comparison : | |

| Really like the pigsty. It reminds me of my uncle's farm, although I doubt the net would survive very long on that fence. Pigs are next to goats on my list of will eat anything. | |

| Last month I visited Warswaw in Poland. Amongst the monuments on my sightseeing list was a brick 'n mortar shop that stocks Maxmini blisters... And I bought myself a set of wooden crates. In stead of painting them seperately, I decided to assemble them all on a base Some 28mm swashbucklers getting ready for a shoot-out | |

| They should provide some fine cover as well as being attractive additions to the scenery. The brushwork is OUTSTANDING; &, as a composite piece, the work together SPLENDIDLY. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Hey, how come I've been missing all these cool posts?!!! Love that pigsty and pig models. I hope you can remember what the name of the manufacturer is, because myself and other people might want to get them too - no pressure! The rest of the work is also amazing. The TTW house deserves the detailed base you provided. I put a like on all of your Facebook pictures because the piece was so well-executed! Bases make houses less modular to play different games, but definitely add much more character and atmosphere. Well done! Joao | |

| Thanks! And indeed, I mainly do these kind of things to get a 'living' feeling into my battlefields (the civilians have fled, of course) but the livestock can't go anywhere... Speaking of civvies... stay tuned, because I've got another little side-project in mind for my Pirate collection (to be added to my Pirates, porto Pulpo and Deep Dwellers) : angry villagers. No peaceful kiddies playing around, wenches carrying beer or women with clothes to-be-washed but something like angry butchers, kids with slingshots and whatnot representing the inhabitants of Porto Pulpo who are fed up with their village getting ransacked every time I decide to play a game - JoaoS wrote:

Sure as sure. The piggies are from Redoubt Enterprises and Thomarillion

| I was rummaging around in ye ole bitzboxes the other day, looking for interesting stuff to use on my pirate ship. All of a sudden I found another one of those old gobbo doom divers. Nice surprise indeed, and I immediately started looking for the necessary bitz to turn it into a second wrack. Here is how that turned out : And, just to prove I'm not recycling old pictures to keep this thread alive | |
