| And now some pics of my finished Airship! When I was taking the pictures I discovered a few spots that still need some Devlan Mud (like the wings and chains) and the anchors still need to be attached. The crew is only partially finished and will be added as soon as they are all done. The Airship is so big, it's hard to take good pics but I hope you get the general idea:D Now all that needs to be done is finishing the rest of the crew. In total there will be 9 or 10 crewmembers (and a Powder Monkey) to give the Airship a really crowded feel... The model is now completely assembled and is so sturdy it can be picked up by the balloon (despite it's weight). The base is still separate. Thanks for watching! As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think. | |

| Thanks DeafNala! Painting the model almost felt like working A quick update... It's too hot to do any painting so instead I spent some time assembling a couple of Ironsides. This is only half the unit, as I have 20 of them (actually 23, as I have three front rankers to spare). An overview and close-up of the unit as it now is... Although the models look very good with regular Handguns I really wanted them to have Repeater Handguns. They need quite a bit of filling with GS (Outriders are a bit more bulky) but that's no problem (the regular Handguns are a better fit, for those who are interested in buying the models). Castellan Engineer Jubal Falk... A very nice model! Maybe even the best model I ever got my hands on... The only thing I 'improved' is his Pistol. The one he's equipped with is way too small for my tastes so I replaced it with a Repeater Pistol from the plastic Steamtank kit. The Standard Bearer... This model is also very nice, it only lacked a banner. The original standard is very nice, but a bit small and had some details didn't like that much... I can assure you, I had some serious doubts before I cut his standard to pieces, but I'm glad I did it. The banner is from the plastic Empire Knight kit. I also replaced his Pistol with a plastic Repeater Pistol. Thanks for watching! As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think... | |

| Dude, I've seen your blog on Warseer, but since I'm banned there... AWESOME. Everything is awesome. You inspire me, a lot. And as a fellow LEGO-chain lover, I can truly appreciate the airship... Any good suggestions where to get them? I think I've almost run out. Theo | |

AWESOME. Everything is awesome. You inspire me, a lot. And as a fellow LEGO-chain lover, I can truly appreciate the airship... Any good suggestions where to get them? I think I've almost run out. You got BANNED at Warseer? What did you do? Anyway, good to find you here! I get my LEGO chains HERE! Quite convenient as their home adress is only a very short distance (only a 15 min. drive) from where I live so I can go and pick them up in person. They also ship internationally though... Great service and a truly mind-boggling selection of parts! - Quote :

Thanks! I said three minor swear words. We're talking very minor here. That's worth a ban since that's apparently deliberately working against the mods since I did the same thing thrice... What can I say... Theo

Theo LOL! I experienced the same when I was using a scorpion-forum (yes I have LOTS of weird hobbys )! But that was actually more for speaking against the admins! Freedom of speech FTW!!!!

| @ Boreas_NL: a great looking army you got there. A little on the elite side for an Empire Arma, but you are working on more units I see. The Marienburgers are the - blast, hehe. They look more fearsome than a unit of Chosen! | |

| i also think some grass between the cobbles, i also use small grass tufts to give natural depth, not too much though, otherwise it takes over the base, maybe a few leaves aswell, would really make the minis stand out even more | |

Thanks! Most of the Empire armies you see are quite bright and way too happy for my tastes... - Quote :

Thanks! The army looks elite, but most of my troops are humble core choices (Huntsmen, Halberdiers, Swordsmen, Spearmen), I just like very big guns, too Those gunners are certainly menacing. If I'm allowed to field them as dismounted Outriders, they'll pretty much kill a unit a turn - Quote :

Consider the idea noted... However, the Stirland municipal cleaning department keeps the streets clean. Violators will be drowned in hot ale. Anyway, small update... I've painted the first of my unit of Huntsmen: The Jeagermeisters... Front and back... He's the perfect Marksman for my unit of Huntsmen. The rest of the unit is equipped in a similar manner, armed to the teeth with all sorts of guns. A nice model to paint with a lot of detail. Arguably the most handsome man in all of Stirland, maybe even the entire Empire... It's rumoured that his armoured codpiece was a gift from the Matriarch from the Holy Order of the Sisters of Chastity and Faith. I'm working at a couple more Jeagermeisters at the moment, so expect some more pics soon... And also this... A set of ten barrels... They will be used to mark my deployment zone. Nothing special, but all my armies have something similar. It's not only quite practical, but also looks better then when you use a couple of dice to do the same... Thanks for watching! As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think...

Touché but nah, I'm in favor of going back to the county of Flanders as seen in the middle ages. So we would take back Artois from france and Zeeuws-Vlaanderen since they belong to the heartlands of Vlaanderen and we ditch antwerpen en brussel, they're from braband anyway and they speak funny now a little on-topic conversation to save this post from the imperial inquisition: the level of detail on that airship is simply amazing! get off your lazy ass and finish it!! I want more pictures!!!

Thanks! I don't rate my own painting that high... Well, I'm quite a big guy, so you should be okay for at least a couple of weeks. I don't know If I taste good though Another quick update... I've finished another two Jeagermeisters... Together with the Marksman... Front and back... Both very nice models to paint. All Jeagermeisters are loaded with ammo, spare weapons and any other random stuff I could fit on. Those extra bits really help to bring the models to life... Back to painting more Jeagermeisters! I really want to finish the unit this weekend... Thanks for watching! As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think...

| No spectacular update this time, but nonetheless one I'm quite pleased with! The new bases... From left to right: - XLarge monster/warmachine base (75x100mm) - Large monster base (50x50mm) - Large infantry base (25x25) - Large regiment base (25x100mm) A lot of work (remember, all those little tiles are cut and detailed by hand), but well worth the effort... The XLarge monster base will be used for a couple of future projects. After taking this picture I made a mold (two actually) so I can cast them in plaster. My bases are for sale/trade... Check out my trade thread (only if you want to, of course)! Thanks for watching! As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think... | |

| Small update... The last few days I've been busy working on my Steamtank... I finished the boiler and the wheels (pretty much the back end of the Steamtank). I replaced the small plastic shield on the bumper with one of my plaster shields (the same design used by all my soldiers). The shield still needs some attention. I also continued work on the Engineer, the details on the hull and the banner on top. The turret is also done (wash and all). Remember kids... I also changed my notice sign:D Thanks for watching!
