| Thanks for all the encouragement, Guys. The Beasty has developed a live of it's own; & it has informed me where we're going with this...it should be an interesting journey. - folketsfiende wrote:
- The little thing that could walk looks very promising... not too sure about its pumpkinness, though - a more likely explanation is that things like that arise from the infernal dimensions of filth you might find in swamps, sewers, and under my bathtub...
..the bathtub part is truly disturbing. AND a late reply. - Demoriel wrote:
- I think the mushrooms would be nice with some painted spots, like polka dots in pattern on them? Or even taking an old tooth brush, and speckling some paint on them? I would also LOVE to see some areas like the Eye balls on the trees, painted with a high gloss finish.
Thanks for the suggestions. I used to do spots all the time. Back then, I did washes with water colors &, with the bleed through, the spots would develop a halo effect that look interesting if a bit disturbing. I think it might be time for some retro spots. I'm playing around with a gloss finish...it looks pretty cool on the larger eyes.

| This isn't really much of an update, but we do the best we can. The Little Beasty has been finished. For some reason or other he reminds moi of George Washington; combining that with a nod to the comedian George Gobbel, he's now Lonesome George: This batch of photos reached new heights of mediocrity, but, be that as it may, your feedback would, as always, be WILDLY APPRECIATED. | |

| Cute looking fellow, he got this" uuuhhh, my mommy left me alone in the woods" look in his eyes, and as ever, great paintjob! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! | Oh, this is so good! I can almost hear the little fellows chatting while the visitors are exploring the forest. This is exceptional work, no doubt!

| Thanks, Guys! Your feedback is appreciated. This is a rather haphazard arrangement to get a feel for how everything is working together. Next I workout a more permanent set up. | |

| This is jst so cool! I like the way Lonesome George came out too. I hik you should post anohr c with them on a finished gameboard, if you have one ready to go. That way we could get the total picture. | |

| The forest is growing by leaps and bounds. George looks like he would be more a stumble and shuffle type, but he fits in well. | |

| Thanks, Guys! @luckyjoe: I'm still working out how I want to do up the boards. While I'm mulling it over, I've started planning out a Post Apocalypse style Fantasy Village & the Witches' Digs. @Von Kurst: Old Lonesome George doesn't look like much of a speed merchant, but who knows...could be trying to give possible munchies a false sense of security. | |

| Wow! Those are excellent! I love the way you did the big single eyes, and the bark texture is eautiful. Those critters are giant, too. Just how trees ought to be. | |

| Thanks, luckyjoe! Making the trees & mushrooms is proving to be addictive; I can see that some of my Forum Friends are going to be getting strange packages in their mailboxes in the near future. | |

| Thanks for the kind words, The Yak! This is probably my Last Hurrah Project so it's going to be pretty extensive; it's like combining everything I love & have learned about the craft into one big whatever. The stump Man is also a favorite of mine | |

Finished? Oh say it isn't so! Great project, Al. Very inspiring. I'm betting you can always find another odd tree or clump of mushrooms to add...

| Thanks, Guys! Walking softly & carrying a BIG axe or preferably, a flamethrower is an excellent idea. - Von Kurst wrote:

Only the pieces for the Circle are finished...The Spooky Woods, its denizens, & their dwellings are still in the works. The project will probably consume the remainder of my life AND I put in a request with The Man for an extension.

| As a demonstration of the value of critiques, Mordheimer suggested I do a dry brush on the trees' foliage for contrast. SO... AND the start of Heep's Cave: As always, comments & critiques would be GREATLY appreciated...for the most part.
