I've been lurking and posting here and there but never really shared any of my work so I thought it was about time. All these buildings have been done within the last year working toward some kind of a modular table. A couple of them still need some work. The unpainted building was an order as I sometimes do some work as commissions. I'm also planning to release and sell some secenry kits of my own. I've got a well coming up soon, |'ll update about it on this thread.

Hope you like it...

Excellent work! Thanks so much for the inspiration these provide. Post more!

My only criticism is that your ruins are obviously follies (specially constructed buildings built to look ruined.) They are too clean and too orderly. But that cleanliness allows me to see all of the wonderful detail.

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!! The design, the stonework, the colors, the photography: all are superb. Seriously, how did you get the stonework to look so great, particularly on the windmill piece? Are you using dry pigments? I can't heap enough praise on thiese works. Please upload more pictures as you continue to make outstanding contributions to Mordheim.

That's great! Really vibrant yet realistic colours! Also, I've never seen the inside of the Chapel, does it come with that internal detail? Smile I'd need to get one if so.

Beautiful stuff! I especially like the yellow building in the 3rd pic. Which ones are you thinking about producing kits of?

Oh my god, thats unbelievable! Those are true masterpieces of scenery, awesome. The windmill and Collegium i like the most, splendid choice of colours. What did you use for rooftiles, is it a straw cut in two?!

Thanks for the comments.

@Von Kurst: that's something I'm thinking about all the time, they should look a lot more messier I agree. However, I do see the ruin effect as an excuse to have opened and playable buildings. On top of that, it's a lot more easier to play on flat floors than on a pile of randon objects. For the unpainted building, I gave the customer a small bag of rubbles made from the wood parts and broken items for him to decide how messy he wants it. Maybe the solution is a messier paint style and more weathered effect.

@Helmet of Justice: for the painting on buildings I use the cheapest paint I can find (DecoArt here in the UK). For the rocks on the windmill, I used small pieces of styrofoam, glued them to the wall. I, then, used a real rock to dent them, applied PVA glue, then re-do the same operation until happy with the look.

@Theorox: the chapel kit is great considering the price however the inside is plain flat plastic with some squares and bumpy shapes. It's plasctic so quite easy to work with. Dents for the rocks and glued some scenery elements.

@luckyjoe: for the kits, I'm planning some medieval but also Old West and steampunk scenery. The first one will be a fairly imposing fantasy well, I'll update on this thread, maybe in a 1 week or 2. The first building on my pictures is partially on a kit to but I've to do the roof by hand so I'm only doing it on order and it comes already built. I'm currently selling one on EBay but ther next ones will have to be ordered if anybody interested.

@Floedebolle: thanks^^the tiles, I made a post on my blog which explained it, have a look if you're interested, it's a bit long to explain otherwise:

Gorgeous stuff! As GW has always had a more cartoony, chunky look, I think that the buildings go great with this. They really pop out!

Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks.

@Captain Bernhardt: the fence is made from Hirst Art Mold #46. The wood I learnt to do it from a tutorial but I've lost the link. I made a tool that looks like a tiny fork and you use that to texture the putty (I'm using Super Sculpey).

Great stuff indeed! I confess I have a soft spot for your windmill! And the fountain too!

Keep on creating; you're really inspirational!

I thought some people arounf here might be interested, I've finished a kit I've been working on for a while. It's called the Fenland Well, all of the details are on this post if you're interested:

Awesome!!! That well is a beauty!! And the paint job is gorgeous too!

Now in normal circumstances I wouldn't be getting this, as I own a well already. But since your well looks so unique and yet so versatile (i.e. it can suit medieval, mediterranean, far-east scenery) I will definitely get this piece at some stage in the future.

Well done! Smile

Wow, that is a beautiful piece of terrain. I visited your blog and really love the detailed bases. Do you make any square bases, or are they all round?
