Wow, that is going to be FUN to play on! The first mental image that comes to me is the underdark in Dungeons and Dragons, with myconoids (shroom-people) and all manners of horrors. Absolutley love it

Funny you should mention Lewis Carroll, I've got an order coming from Reaper that includes The White Rabbit...I thought he'd get on well with the Mushrooms. The surreal dream/nightmare feel of Alice In Wonderland with a few twists of my own is what I'm trying for...mostly.

The next thingies to appear here will probably be an updating of the Three Sisters; i.e., three larger mushrooms that appeared toward the beginning of this thread.

Having gotten inspired to do a bit more with my Gigunda Mushrooms, The Three Sisters, by floedebolle's new Mushroom thread. I started some upgrades. You can checkout the source of this madness here:

Thanks, V.K..I'll put a couple of minis in the next batch of photos. In the meantime, as a reference the background tile is 1' square; the Mushroom its/herself is 9" from the base to tip of the crown...she's the second tallest of the trio.

Thanks, Pervavita! Gaseous George (a take off on Gorgeous George, a '50s Wrestler) is one of a quartet of Rackham/Confrontation Goblins; I hope to have the other three Guys done soon...or not.

Love that character, DeafNala. I have mixed feelings about some of Rackham's stuff, but their goblins are awesome. Well done with the intricate details on him - that sort of stuff tends to intimidate my perfectionism...

I also have rather mixed feelings about Rackham's stuff; the detailing can be a bit overwhelming, but quite a lot of the pieces are lovely. Like with most mini makers, it's a "take what you like & leave the rest alone" deal. The Gas Blowers are too cool to pass up.

The multifaced Mushroom seems to be a conversational group that chatters away at each other & passersby continuously. I can picture one of the Witches standing by the door in the middle of the night shrieking, "WOULD YOU SHUT THE HELL UP?!".

Hooray for the Three Sisters! Sorry I'm late. I will reserve true gushing until the Sisters (witches) themselves arrive.

I've had the Three Girls based up & ready to paint for awhile now. The cauldron is modified & painted already. I made another islet for the Mushrooms. I'll start painting it up & mount the Mushrooms over the next couple of days. Once completed, I'll do some photos with the other islands. I might even finish the Goblin Pirate/Smuggler Ships...or not.

Well with the Smuggler's craft: I started them in '08 or so, before I moved to Texas. It didn't look like I'd be using them for anything & the the one, the Nasty Nancy, got pretty beaten up on the trip down here. However, the Islets in their swamp conjure up images of Great Uncle Gus & his rum running exploits. So, there is a better than average chance I'll overcome my dislike of fixing things & do them up...fixed or not I'll put up a photo or two of them as W.I.P. pieces.
