The sewage pipe is from Crazy Mary's secret laboratory, aka still..she's not environmentally friendly. - Von Kurst wrote:

Well it doesn't actually open, but, as a prop to suggest some mysterious place beneath it, it's fully operational. The place is pretty busy, & I have some plans to add more details. PLUS there are more Cays, Keys, & Isles in the the works. AND there will be more signs, theomar. - Von Kurst wrote:

I'm still deciding which Witch to use. In the process I'm accumulating enough Witches for a sizable Coven...or a smallish Convention.

| Thanks, Bolbotos: glad you like the stuff! I hadn't intended the Thingies to be actually scary, perhaps a little disturbing, but not scary...sort of Corpse Bride or The Nightmare Before Christmas with a bit of Labyrinth/ Dark Crystal mixed in. A number of Folk have, however, commented that the surrealistic quality of some pieces is disturbing; one L.A.Fer gets nightmares from the stuff. I think it's rather like the scariness that a lot of children associate with clowns. | |

| Actually I don't like Tim Burton's style that much, but your style even more. It is disturbing but somehow seet and funny. If your work would be candy I would eat it at once | |

Even as a T.B. fan, I don't think I would or could copy the Burtonesque style. The wondrous part of Fantasy/Fictional modeling is that it allows you to do things to the dictates/limitations of your own imagination. My stuff is a creation of a vivid imagination as seen through the eyes of a Crazy Old man...how's that for SCARY! - Spectre76 wrote:

Funny you should mention it. I've been picking up some of Wyrd's theatrical types & such along with these West Wind minis: http://www.oldglory25s.com/index.php?cat_id=536&catname=%27Circus%20of%20Death%27

| Old Captain John occasionally mentions that we could take a European journey via his Merchant Marine contacts... SO may be one of these days. | |

| You leave me every time more curious. If you'll come to Italy remember one thing: distances are smaller than in U.S. but...times are longer... And gasoline is 2€ per liter... | |

| A LOOK INSIDE A CRAZY OLD MAN'S MIND: SO having used up five of my Mushroom Guys for Crazy Mary's, I figured I should replace them. Getting a tad carried away with the thing, The Five were duly replaced by The Eleven. Then says I...Old Men, particularly the of the deaf & crazy variety, tend to talk to themselves...while I'm at it I should paint the Lads/Whatever up to make things easy when I plant them. The end result is The Twenty Eight: Your kind comments, as always, would be GREATLY appreciated. | |
