| Oh my! Just incredible. This forest really taps into the comic horror aspect that is often overlooked in a lot of Warhammer stuff these days. Pythonesque absurdity crossed with the creepy, disturbing and frightening!
It really feels like walking into a fairy tale... before 19th and 20th century authors cleaned them up and made them safe!

| Thanks, sircyn...I appreciate the feedback. I don't think of my stuff as serious; it has more of the comic/cartoony about it. I does, however, have a bizarre, surrealistic aspect that is just disturbing enough to make it scary...the same qualities that make clowns frightening to so many children. | |

Fantasy orcs and goblins with blackpowder weapons are a treat indeed - I have an orc with a blunderbuss somewhere that needs to get painted... Lookin' forward to more pics Nala- ou seem to be in a generally productive mood!

| ...well I'll never be considered a fast painter/modeller, but I do put in ridiculous amounts of time on the Thingys...sometimes as much as 16 hours in a single day; SO, I suppose I'm prolific, although NUTS might be a more accurate description. I think that I'm posting more now that I'm ever-so-slowly figuring out how to take & post photos. This creates a new problem in that I have quite a few little horrors to take photos of. Beside the yet to be photographed pieces Mordheimer is returning (a few hundred minis), & several times that in Captain John's display cabinet ( from HELL!), I have a dozen egg cartons like this: that have to be snapped. That ought to keep me out of trouble for awhile...or not. Meanwhile the Circle of Continuous Chatter, aka Stoned Hedge, is progressing nicely...this time I plan to take some W.I.P. shots. | |

| Its ALIIIVVVVEEE! Lots of creepy thingies there. Stoned Hedge is, like man, grooving, like. I really like the combination of real wood and sculpted detail. | |

| Thanks for the kind words, luckyjoe! After I opened up the thread in the Gallery it occurred to moi that I probably should have included them here... SO I'll post notices here whenever I update there. I still have a lot of finished pieces to post & even more underway. | |

| Man, those are excellent. I love the vibrant colors and the sculpting is phenomenal. Some of those expressions look just cazy, which really adds to the overall atmosphere of the pieces. Bravo! | |

| That is freakin' wacky. The faces remind me of something out of Labyrinth or a Jim Henson movie... or some strange, British kids show. Very weird and characterful! | |

| Thanks again, Guys. Though the ideas for the Beasties come from my own twisted imagination, the motivation comes from those of you kind enough to leave your words on encouragement. On the which Squig is better question, I'd be hard pressed to chose between them. Beyond the obvious craftsmanship involved, they were both the creations of talented Guys who I am honored to call friends. | |
