Da Gutrippaz wuz not ambush this week! Instead da three amigos fought over some treasure dat gitz left laying about in Big Toof.  (Pure laziness on my part scenario wise, oh well. Kevin and Rob wuz workin' again.  Paying taxes so Mr L can laze around an' paint minis.)

Da Git Yaz gave it up with one hero, 2 gobboz an' 3 or 4 squigz out of action.  Ol' One Eye Bubba II iz rubbed out. (Third gobbo hero to fall to da Gutrippaz... Including Bubba I).  2 squigs iz kilt ded, too.  Da Git Yaz wail an' gnash da teef.  Dey git away wit three treasures, but somehow spend everything buying one hero back.

Da Whitez bug out when da White Shaman fall.  He git full recovery.  Da Whitez only keep 2 treasures.  But dey find a lost sword in exploration.  

Da Gutrippaz gain 3 treasure an' find Da Tricksey Tavern in exploration.  Kaptian Grootka gain da academic skill!  Da Mad Bomma blow hiz'elf up, but he git better. (Only git he take out of action in 9 games iz hiz'elf...

COOL STUFF once more! HOORAY for Da Gutrippaz...Fortune smiles on the painted!

Da Rize an' Fall o' da Gobbo--Merry Orcsmas

So it came to pass that most of us could attend the final game night before Christmas. I was completely unprepared for such an occasion, but I rallied and came up with a lame holiday themed scenario:

Da Spiritz of Orcsmas

"Beware! Ye will be visited by three spiritz. Heed dere words!" The wight who closely resembled da ded Night Gobbo Chief Bad Arse spoke in a hollow voice dat reached da ears of all da greenskins.

Twas da Night Before Orcsmass an' all da gitz head for da town square ta scrap! Da spiritz appeared in order of failed animosity tests, given our record of actually attending game night I was unsure of the number of players, so I reduced the number of failed tests to activate spirits. This turned out to be a mistake, but it sort of worked nonetheless.

So da Whitez took no actual casualties, but were broken by having six warriors flee from da Wight Bubba II. Dey lose no one.

Da Git Yaz lost ThreeDotz rubbed out by Toll Troll. A snotling was also kilt ded by da Ballerz. Da Git Yaz find da Majick Shot Bow an' gain +3 underdog bonus again...

Da Gutrippaz lost Da Craziest Git Eva, who killed himself rather than listen to Jolly Nik's jokes. In addition a faint BOOM was heard during exploration, marking the end of Da Mad Bomma who blew himself up trying to make a new bomb or two... Da Gutrippaz find da entrance to da Catacombs in exploration.

Da Ballerz wins! Dey lose da lucky charm stolen by Bogoff (cause dey didn't even try to get it back). Nufink dies. Dey also gain +3 underdog bonus coming into the evening with a rating of 311! (even lower den da Git Yaz)

The old plastic Night Goblins certainly are merry enough for a Christmas vignette.
The Orc looks like The Donald's conception of Santa.

The old night goblins were among the best (especially since they were plastic and easy to tweak).  I like the 3rd and 4th edition metals for sheer character.  And of course the ancient Citadel stuff of the 80s because they were the first of the first.

Disaster! A gobbo failz an Animosity test an' decide to 'git' Dork.  Big mess fer da Noobz

So da Gutrippaz flee and steal only one treasure.  It was only a few days ago, but I can't remember who died.  An orc or two usually does.  I think it was the boy with an experience... A hired sword returns a favor in exploration and more of the stash is spent on new orcs.

Da Noobz had LOTZ out of action (including Sword Guy who had been shot by dat Li'l Git all game long.) Nobody died.  Da Noobz claim 3 or 4 treasures and like +3 underdog bonus again.  I think da Shaman got like 7 experience or something.

Da Git Yaz had a snotling die.  Da poor gitz!  Da Git Yaz gain like LOTZ of treasure, da stolen boar is sold an' dey buyz...another giant cave squig...Big Red II.

Another couple of great games, with nice terrain really setting the atmosphere! I guess every goblin has his day... Poor Dork, though, always looking for that piggy.

Da Rize an' Fall o' da Gobboz--Goin' fer 4

January 3, 2019.  Rob's car broke down, but Chris and Kevin showed back up from vaction.  So we had 4 players!

Finderz Keeperz
A race to the treasure stash that wasn't.  

On the face of it both warbands were the best choice for playing this particular game.  Both have boar riders and trolls that can travel fast, but...

For some reason, possibly all the crossbows on the Whitez side, da Ballerz attempted to reach the ruin at night.  Combined with certain of our groups insistence on setting up scenery before choosing a scenario to play AND a general disinclination to read anything associated with a campaign that is largly fan made...

I think it went surprisingly well.

Da Stash was located in an old Ded Kingz ruin in Big Toof (as opposed to on the edge of Big Toof). Da Ballerz iz fallin' down inna dark or being trampled by a crownd.  Either way they fall down a lot.


Almost immediately a Runaway Chariot event occurs.  A burning chariot rolls on to the field from the north.  Amazingly it manages to randomly avoid many obstacles before crashing into a Mad Moon idol.
Da chariot is kinda messed up (it apparently suffered 3 wounds from hitting the idol even though the chariot was T8), but the boarz survive.  

Da Whitez all strung out in pursuit still have more boyz NEAR da chariot.  Diss wuz probably bad for da Ballerz

Toll Troll and da Gimpy Black Orc reach da chariot next (look like da Boar Rida give it up an' hide by da tents)


Whitez and Ballerz scrap over da chariot.  (Da Whitez boar ridaz may have already looted da stash dat da scenario iz supposed to be about, they didn't seem to take part in da scrap either way.)






Somehow da Ballerz Boss was out of action, I think he got better.  The Whitez won this one by getting da  stash.  Da Ballerz captured the boarz that were pulling the chariot, but da White Troll somehow smashed the chariot to pieces during the struggle to capture it.

Being run down by the treasure is a first for me. It was the highlight of the game. GOOD STUFF!

Da pesky Git Yaz cry and scream cause dey bein' crumped, but no body die. Da Gimp and da Git da Never Fights both got better. Well one squig died, so that was something...

Indianapolis was gearing up for the big snow storm (which didn't happen until today, but that's my story.)  So the three original warbands fought it out again.

DA GUTRIPPAZ WUZ LOW WARBAND!  Low how the mighty have fallen.  (Both da Whitez an' da Git Yaz were tied in warband rating at 466 or something like that.)  

So with a chance to get low warband's revenge I roll:

Da Gutrippaz gave it up when Cookie fail to wound da Boar Ridda for the 6th time.  Both Grootka and Rigga Top get better.

There are some really SPLENDID miniatures mix in with all the white stuff.

Da Street Brawl in Big Toof

So I left da bar fight for the chance to spend an hour and a half on another fight.  I rolled Street Brawl on the multi-player table.  I was hoping for a good event or two to make it interesting...  I wuz also sort of expecting to fight da Whitez more den da Gobbo, but da Git Yaz haz decided dat da Gutrippaz is easy pickins.  Pityfull, I tell ye.

Da Whitez an' da Git Yaz scrap right up to store close.  Declare tie.  Not sure dat any Whitez iz hurt at all.  

Da Git Yaz lose Bubba III shot ded by Sharkee (da Gutrippaz haz kilt 4 Git Ya Gang heroes. Three named Bubba!).  Git Yaz mighta lost more, it were hard ta tell wot wit da grief over Bubba III.

The crowd undoubtedly thought Da Gutrippaz were a Rock Group & were mugging them for autographs.

An unarmed bar-room brawl is a bad place to be a goblin... Good place to be a troll though!

Thanks gents!  The crowds are a fickle lot.

@Rhydderch--Big Toof is lethal to goblins, armed or not.  We did try giving the gobbos +2 warriors, but it really did mean that they just gave orc heroes more experience.

Rob was able to make another gaming night!  Poor fellow...he had not faced the Whitez yet.

Da first Surprise Attack of the campaign.  

Usually we have gotten past this milestone in the first couple of weeks of play.  But this cycle we have played multi-player Ambushes to death because usually there are only 3 of us.  Unfortunately for Rob he is not a particularly bloodthirsty sort, so his attack was a bit half hearted...
Plus a cloud of flies event meant that the underdogs had more disadvantage...
