Da Rize an' Fall of da Gobbo--Da Great Big Toof Brewhouse Bash!
Kevin is working odd shifts again, so its back to the three core warbands

We met in Jim L's first bar, built for the scenario Last Orders. Its a bit high toned for Big Toof, but its fun ta fight in. Especially tossin' gits off balconies...

Happy Hour
We went with the 30 model total suggestion for multi-player games. Each warband had 10 warriors spread over the three floors of the bar. Each warband had a floor on which they were outnumbered. Poor Cookie all alone on the upper floor...

Da Git Yaz were down a hero, 'cause he got caught wit a dagger... Dere Red Toof got a dagger by the bouncer though...

Da Gutrippaz had two boyz smuggle daggers by the bouncer successfully before ol' Rigga Top got kicked out fer havin' a shiv.

Da Whitez not only had no paint, had no gutz. Didn't even try to pull one over on da bouncer. Fat lot of good it did 'em.

**No one had read my list of what equipment was available in Big Toof, but since Rabbits Feet are not available in Lustrian campaigns (by our rules), no one has been buying them in Big Toof (or something like that). I had been waiting for someone to ask me if they were for sale (because they usually do.) But I got tired of not having any Rabbits Feet when I could, so I made an announcement to the group. Da Gutrippaz found 2...Reading is fundamental...

I have caught up with the campaign! See ya next week.

A good couple of scraps in the bar! I don't know the scenario, but looks and sounds like a good time.

Somehow a barroom brawl seems The Perfect melee for Orcs...less so for Goblins. GREAT GAMES once more!

But gobbos can be real mean drunks...

Thanks for all the kind comments.  Da gobbos lived or died on their die rolls.  Second game they at least got crumped (even if they didn't die.)

But he has one faithful retainer who fights on.  The demoralized Whitez finally fail a rout test an flee the surviving guardian.  The Tomb Guardian wins!

Da Git Yaz lose a couple of gobbos and a squig.  Naturally, these fallen few are the BEST gobboz and squig ever and cause much wailing and nashing of teeth.  Da Git Yaz do capture Rigga Top and rob him of his blunderbuss, sword, club and dagger, plus a lucky charm and a rope and hook PLUS have all their heroes escape uninjured...

Da Gutrippaz have Rigga Top captured, but get him back after losing all his stuff. Da New Boy is rubbed out along with 2 Red Toofz and a squig.  Da Gutrippaz buy some fire arrows...

Da Whitez lose a boy and a boar killed.  Both heroes survive.  

HOORAY FOR THE RAG WRAPPED LIVING IMPAIRED GUYS...I think! That was confusing, but the photos were OH SO COOL. GREAT STUFF!

Confusing, but very impressive! & really, what more can we ask of our green-skinned friends?

Da Git Yaz grab Three treasures.  Lose one gobbo, one squig, one snotling.  Li'l Hero roll skill, take da one wut lets 'im shoot crossbow and blunderbuss...

Da Rize an' Fall o' da Gobbo--A Ambush in Big Toof!

and some other stories..

Total Eclipse
dis wuz a Halloween game played on Nov. 3.

There was a total eclipse of the sun in Big Toof!  All da gitz was scared. Gobbos hid. (I'm not sure this would be the case as some gobbos hate the sun, but its for the scenario, see.)  Anyway da Forest Gitz encountered da Brazz Brawlerz in one of Big Toof's many open commons.  As da sun got eaten, four or perhaps five spirits appeared.  In what was described as typical bad luck, da Brazz Brawlerz mostly bugged out, scared ----less of da spirits.  Da gobbos did run around in circles screaming for a bit, but most all of them held their ground.  A couple even stole da spirits shiny stones.

In the meantime, Toll Troll decided to charge da Spida (da Forest Gitz got a Gigantic Spider).  Toll Troll trip inna dark, fall down.  Spidaz no trip.  So da Spida jump on da knocked down Troll an' bite da git.
Troll out of action.  




Then more orcs fail to rally, and da Brawlerz bugs out.

Nobody die for da Brawlerz, though they whine a lot anyway.  Gain one extra treasure.

Da Forest Gitz actually had like 5 gobboz and da Spida out of action, because even running away, orcs iz dangerous.  A couple of gobboz is rubbed out.  Gobboz steal 2 treasures from spirits.

YET ANOTHER series of cool misadventures! Orcs seem to live lives of ongoing, violent misunderstandings.

I'm beginning to think 'Da Rize o' da Gobbo' was too optimistic a name...

Da Rize an' Fall o' da Gobbo--More Orcs

Rob stopped by while we were playing the Ambush.  Rob last played with us a few years ago.  It didn't take much to get him interested again and started assembling a warband.

So on the 9th Kevin, Rob and I played a Catch the Snotz scenario.  
Victory to the Brazz Brawlerz.  Da New Orcs gained +4 underdog from da Forest Gitz and captured lots of goblins and snotz.  Da Forest Gitz captured a couple of snotz, beat up da New Orcs, then ran away from da Brazz Brawlerz.  Da Brawlerz ran into a random event squig herd that took most of the game to defeat.  They captured no snotz, but got lotz of experience from beating up squigs and gobbos.

A gobbo or two may have died.

On the 13th Rob, Chris, Kevin and I got together for the regular game night.  Once again the poor New Orcs faced off against the highest rated warband, Da Gutrippaz.  The scenario was anther Catch Da Snotz.  Da New Orcs caught most of da snotz, gobboz an' squigs that appeared. Da Gutrippaz grabbed a couple of gobbos and beat up Da New Orcs.  Gutrippaz winz!  

Da New Orcs got another 4+ underdog bonus.  One orc henchman named Gazgug da Brave was rubbed right out.

Chance Encounter
Da Whitez fought da Brazz Brawlerz.  Big fight in da center of da table.  A building caught fire. Brawlerz bug out.  A couple of orc boyz may have died.  Much teef were collected by all.

Catch da Snotz
Da Whitez fight da Brazz Brawlerz fer da snotz.  Not sure if any snotz were captured, but each warband had around 50% out of action. Da Brawlerz winz!

Causalities included at least one orc henchman from each warband and a snot killed.  Whimpy da Battered Black Orc gained an Old Battle Wound to go with the rest of his injuries.

Ooof, my heart sank when Big Red was killed in its first game! Poor Night Goblins! (just remembered a house rule my old group considered: big guy henchmen only die on a 1 after a game they are taken out of action in. The troll is clearly the superior big guy, the immortality of them makes them the only one worth the cost IMHO).

I may have written the least competitive warband ever.

Great reports again -- good to see a new warband getting in there, & getting the full use of the underdog bonus!

I will not believe in a Goblin victory until I see it.

Win on a technicality -- that's the sort of cunnin yet brutal taktik I expect from gobbos!

Da Rize an' Fall o' da Gobbo--More Ambushin' in da Big Toof

Holiday let down: there were only the three of us this week.

Shenanigans: Jim and Chris had set up a dice tower with the dice arranged to show a '9' rolled to greet me with last Thursday. When I objected that I had not witnessed the die roll, Chris promptly rolled a '9' with two dice. When I pointed out that Chris was not the low rated warband, Jim L scooped up the dice and rolled a '9'. Obviously they were trick dice...

A roll of a 9 equals the scenario Ambush on the multi-player scenario chart for Big Toof.

And so it began again...

Da Whitez lose no heroes, ('cause da Gutrippaz can no roll '6' to wound, no how.) Dey gain a free ogre hired sword. Da T6 Boar Rider iz now known as Squabbla, since he don't do nufink else (love dat git).

Da Gutrippaz winz all 13 treasures (worth at the least 13 experience for rubber sword wielding heroes). They lose Ol' Fletch (who was da last original henchorc ), Bow'lin, Pressgang One, an' Pressgang Too (dats da HOLE Pressgang!) Dem gitz worth 140gc easy

Quite the bloodbath... but then, that's what I look for in a greenskin battle! Great report, as ever.
