Welcome ta Big Toof lad!  Come on in!  Mind da pig leavings dere!  And careful of dat troll vomit over dere!  Dat mess was a boar a bit ago, mind ye.  Da tusky git challenged Nameless, iffin ye can believe it! Ye sees how dat worked out fer him.  Nameless got an iffy gut, I tells ye true!

Oi!  Get down lad, yer drawin' fire!  I tink dats Orgruk's ladz, a course it could just as well be da White Gitz boyz. Have ye seen da White Git lad? Strangest ting, deys all white!  Even da choppas and daggers and stuff, white!  Odd I tell ye.  

Ladz got strange bee-leafs, I tells ye.

Oh get up, dem boyz couldn't hit yer, if ye fell on da arrow.  Pitiful lot.  Dey sez dat a git got shot over by Dagga Hill, but if a git did get shot, I sez it was elfs!  Dis lot ain't hit nothin' since Ize gots here.  I been guardin' da gate all day.  Seen ladz shoot up a good bushel of arrows.  No blood.  From arrows dat iz.

Step careful after dark, ye hear!  Quite a few gitz been rubbed out.  All the tribes comin' together like dis, bound ta happen.  Iffin der anything left, da git goes in da stew.  We eat right reg'lar.

Like Ize sez, Welcome ta Big Toof!


Big Toof is a greenskin town or at least a real big camp.  Right there on the Big Toof River, north of old Khemri where the dead walk.  Big Toof is growing, for the time being anyway.  The drums say that the Great Green Proffit is going to call the Waagh!  The greatest Waagh ever is going to start right here in Big Toof, so the tribes are gathering from near and far.  The Bosses are each looking to build the strongest tribe, so that one of them will be chosen to lead all the tribes to plunder and glory.

We are back in da Big Toof, somewhat reduced from the first trip as da group is shrinkin' again.  On top of not having many mobs, the four of us haven't been able to be all in the same room yet, but that might happen one of these days.  In the meantime, 'ere we go!

Da Nightz, da Gutrippaz an' da Whitez

So there were sixteen of them gobbos (well gobbos and squigs).  Made the Nightz the biggest threat.  All three warbands met in a tangle of huts and adobe.  Da Nights start in the north.  Whitez to the south. Gutrippaz stuck in the middle to the west.  Nightz got lots of short bows and spears and the Wind of Gork.   Whitez start with bows and Clubba.  

Da Gutrippaz gots Nameless and da spell Ledz Go!  Nameless iz stoopid an' da Ledz Go be hard fer Cookie ta cast...  Its da long game fer da Gutrippaz.

Sneaky gobbo knock old Nameless down (we had our usual trying to get used to new rules while not reading very well first time with a new warband. Oh well.)

So we had a big scrap by da hutz.  Nameless and Yo'and da Nife go out of action fer da Gutrippaz and da Gutrippaz scamper.  Da Whitez gain a Ogre Bodyguard from event! Da Nightz lose a couple heroes trying to fight orcs and then lose da squigs and gobbos to da Whitez' ogre and dey scamper, too.

Da Whitez win!

Da Nightz lose a gobbo what Nameless kilt.  Dey buy da git back I think. Lotsa griping and complain.  One hero gobbo git take da Leg Wound. (No running, but can charge.) Buy some lucky charms and such. Gain a Ogre Bodyguard returning a favor.  Gitz!

Da Gutrippaz maybe don't lose nobody kilt.  Dey buy a orc boy and some lucky charms, but only end up with 2 of the lucky charms.

Da Whitez purty cocky.  If sumfing went out of action, it because dey squabble. Don't pay ogre and da git da ogre scrags survive.  Nobody die. Buy boyz and lucky charms, 'cause dey rich.

Not many Whitez left.  No pictures of it, but the Nightz ogre just cuts through the Whitez.  Squigs and gobbos have good luck too.  In the end 7 are out of it.


Da duel o' da Shamans.  Cookie strike first. ZAPP! dat git.  He got better.


Strength 2 take old Cookie down.  Sad day.


All da Gobbo hero but Gimp run away and make money (and experience).  Gimp tried to take an orc.  He go out of action again.  Da Nightz win!

Da Whitez have 2 models left, both heroes.  They might have lost one boy kilt.  One hero misses a game.  No one becomes a hero.

Da Gutrippaz might have lost the new boy.  Might have done that the first game.  Either way no one becomes a hero.  Cookie get better.

Da Nightz win!  Did I say that.  Well, it had been awhile for Mr L.  Had to explain the advantages of winning as far as how many dice you roll in exploration, that kind of thing.  The Nightz are real rich, but the free ogre dies.  And a squig dies.  Another gobbo may have died, but gobbos die...  Especially when Nameless around.

Kevin is working nights during the week and I have been working Saturdays in September.  So we meet on Sunday the 16th of September.

Catch Da Snotz
A local merchant is paying a bounty for Snotz, so the warbands hunt them.  Hunting is usually good after  the local brewhouses close (which actually probably wouldn't happen...)

I can't remember how many snotz there were to hunt, but the Forest Gobins encountered a wild squig first.  Naturally it bit Og Big Feather...  Then it was killed.

The numbers of the goblins eventually told.  The Black Orcs flee with their troll and henchorcs out of action.

I didn't take any notes, so I have no idea if anything died.  The Black Orcs capture a snotling and a red toof gobbo. Maybe sell a goblin that they captured too.

The Forest Gobbos win!  Catch a couple of snotz, what dey keep as pets.

End of game.  Dork Pighugga show up looking for hiz lost boar.  Nobody stay to argue wit 'im.


The Forrest Tribe hang around until all them boars led or dragged off the field.  Then scamper, 'cause da Toll Troll comin'.

Both sides got 3 boar each.  Some of 'em had cool mutations, but no use to gobbo an' da Black Orcs got stoopid special rule, dey no ride boar.  So everybody rich!  Black Orc win!  And roll free hired sword.  Gitz!

Good stuff from Big Toof! Nice to see some gobbo warbands as well, even if they are sneaky, little gits...
And I know I am just adding my voice to the choir, but I am envious of the amount of games you guys get to play, and on such amazing boards! Thanks for sharing the stories, it at least lets me game vicariously.

Oh well...I was hoping for a return to exotic Araby, lands of mystery, ancient horrors, AND no unpainted Orcs. Hating G.W's background fluff on Orcs & Goblins might have something to do with it also.
The SPLENDIDLY painted minis out number the gray ones, plus the terrain is GORGEOUS...gotta take the good with the bad. I have to start sending the packages I promised; re, some of the stuff will fit right in.

Ooo, Gobbo warbands -- I suspect this campaign will see even more death than usual...

With one hero and lotz of gobbo out of action, Nightz bug out.  Keep 2 or 3 wyrdstone.

Da Whitez got only 2 heroes to explore, got no shiny.  Orc boy might die. Sad Whitez.

Da Nightz got 2 or 3 wyrdstone, roll 5 dice in exploration.  Somehow claim to have spent the 18 wyrdstone they won last week (which is not possible).  Anyway poor Nightz got no money.  Squig dies and bankrupts them. (Listening to our laments at end of game is always enlightening.)

Da Gutrippaz steal 6 wyrdstone.  Do roll poorly in exploration (score a total of 10 on 5 dice.)  Either way Gutrippaz is rich.  Buy lotz more boyz.  Woot!

The Forest Gitz end up with lotz of snotz, too, but kill any squigs dey meet.

September 27, 2018.  Jim L had a tooth ache and had to stay home.  Kevin was still working late, so it was just Chris and I.  Chris only had seven warriors because of the earlier massacre.

Da Gutrippaz wuz huntin' snotz down by ol' Gibberz shack.  Poor Cookie Wassis got hisself trap by dis glowy green ball.  Cookie sez 'e blessed by Gork or perhap Mork, now.  Den dat orc scream like a hummie.  Da boyz meetz lotz o' squigs.  One of dem squig rub ol' Butcha right out.

Dem Whitez dey run inta dem duppy ded fings.  Dis real duppy ded fing take down da Whitez Boss.  Whitez bug out.  Grootka an' Nameless chop da duppy ded fing up.  Gutrippaz iz da best!

Da Whitez run with the Boss and a couple of boyz out of action.  Da Boss git better.  Da boy become hero.  Whitez capture a couple snotz.

Da Gutrippa loze ol' Butcha (who was on his fourth game and had a halberd...)  Cookie loze da spell Zapp! for 3 games. Nobody become hero (out of five possible).  Capture 2 squigs and find a secret map ta da Mummy's tomb...

Wow! A lot of updates since I last looked in -- & a lot of action! Some grand looking battles there, & things going far better for the goblins than I'd expect. I mean, some of them are still standing!

@Rhydderch--Don't get used to it.  I have been catching up on last months backlog.  Almost caught up now.
Goblins--Jim L is getting killed because he started saving for a giant squig from the first, instead of either just purchasing it up front or ignoring it until he lucked out.

Otherwise as long as you can keep the orcs spread out, numbers count.

I've had some good fun playing gobbos -- even against dwarves you end up rolling enough dice that some of them work out, & the dwarves just get mobbed down!
