Introduce yourself!

Halloa there, townsfolk!

Since I am new to the forum, I`d ike to introduce myself a little...

First of all I am really glad to find out there are still some pilgrims to the Pit by now.
Actually I just moved from Hamburg to a really small town in northern Germany, and feel a little bit like GoZ as being northwards to the middle of nowhere (in fact HE is^^) , but fortunately got some Mordheim addicts with me.

I used to play Mordheim since the beginning (Witch Hunters, Kislevites, Pirates, Skaven), but after three years or so I - dunno why - took a long, long break... Now that I`m back to the City of the Damned I plan the following for the upcoming campaign(s):

Reiklanders (main)
- basically built of the old Mordheim henchmen sprues, with parts of WHFB Imperial soldier sprues (state troopers new and old, artillery crew etc., some bits from Reaper Miniatures, and tons of green/brown stuff...

Sisters of Sigmar
- mainly based on the models of Reaper`s battle nuns (don`t like most of the GW`s), altough with many conversions

Possessed
- got the old starter box, but don`t know yet how to converse these guys or which other models to add...

Marauders
- `til now just planned on the paper...

By now I don`t know exactly whom I`ve got to face, but I assume Orcs, Beastmen and Undead are already up to show up in order to take the streets. But since I care more about the fun factor, the particular offenders won`t effect my warband lists very much (more about those upcoming in the rules section).

We here in "Nordland" are also going to build a brandnew scenery, but because of all of us being parents, I assume it`ll take a while - as well as pics from fully painted miniatures, unfortunately...

Yeah, and maybe this kinda long term campaign, including the scenery build up, leads to a certain quality of miniatures and terrain *cough-cough*... Seriously, everyone`s doin` his first building right now, and so the competition will hopefully lead to good results... The dices told me to build up a scattered tavern in first place btw...
Since I now live in a medieval Hanseatic-League town, I can get some insprations just outside

Welcome to the forum Patrick! My mother used to curse in German to keep us kids from knowing what she was saying. We got the gist though.

Yeah I already checked the Member Locations forum thread and noticed that their weren't any registered Melbourne Aussies. Shame. But will probably keep reading the forums and upload some scenery and painting pics for the inspiration of others.

I was reading through the thread about how to solve the problem with fighting with two hand weapons and was interested in that, and is there a link to a thread that has anything to do with a Mordheim PC game? I remember that being rumoured AGES ago.

Hello fellow gaming enthusiasts. I am as green as can be to forums since this is the first I have joined, yet I have been gaming off and on for the last 29 years (old nerd). Although my interests have mainly been in roleplaying (D&D, Warhammer Fantasy) I have always had an interest and appreciation for miniature gaming. The Olde World has always had a special dark (and humorous) place in my heart and has been the inspiration of many games and campaigns over the years. Although I have played various systems, it seems I always wind up at the same place... Warhammer. Of all the variations the Warhammer world has to offer, Mordheim has always resurfaced as the standard for my hobbying interests. I have recently been re-inspired by this forum and am happy to know that the game that has been always close to my heart has not died, and that there are even newcomers to the system I had thought was a thing of the past. Well, my fellow nerds (and I mean that in the most respectful of ways) I hope to be a contributing factor to this forum (although my computer skills are a bit rusty and I'm not even sure if I am posting this correctly or even in the right place). I have recently purchased some crafting supplies and, if my skills allow, will be sharing my thoughts and youngblood interest in modelling/terrain building and old heart love of the Mordheim game.

I discovered mordheim before his realease, in some white darf, there was a crazy guy talking about his project "Mordheim". Its the only table game that i still play. No so often, but always when i have the oportunity to fight to an adventurous band.
