Hello, my name is Darren. I played fantasy around '98 for a year or so, countinued painting modles off and on till around '08 when I got into 40k which I have been doing alot of since. Had a guy move from kentucky to my area in Indiana. He found our club forum, said he was not into 40k but was interesed in playing Flames of War and/or Mordheim. I had stuff to do both, so went to his house and happened to play Mordheim first since he had his board/terran set up (he had done an awsome job with his 4x4 homade set up). Its been maybe 3 or 4 weeks of playing and have not even talked about playing Flames of War. Another of our club's guys is playing and another is trying to find the time to get in.

Mordhiem is a very fun, inexpensive game and a good break/fill in for 40k.

Hello all! Certain rogue elements of my 40k group have subverted me to adventure in the city of the damned! New to the setting and square bases (will they grow on me???) Will be playing an orc warband as what few fantasy minis i possess are of that faction. We plan to begin our first campaign by november so ive come to the boards to study and soak up what i can before that harsh mistress experience begins her lessons.

my name is Stefan , I´m from Mannheim , germany.
I found TBMF while i was searching for informations about Mordheim when we startet to play the game a few months ago.
I´m playing 3 Warbands- Dwarfs, Witch Hunter, Carnival of Chaos
Actually we are 5 Guys who play Mordheim and we try to have a campaign sort of playing.
Later i will give you a look about our Playing area, it is aways under construction.
And my warband will also have a place to show of

To the internet I'm Unit894, but to everyone else i'm Dave.

Soooo, in my first year of collage but still finding time to play Warhammer/40k/Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game/Inquisitor and of coarse Mordhiem!, after about 5/6 years of playing i can modestly admit to owning six playable armies!

I'm a huge nerd of everything sci-fi and fantasy, but NO HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!

I hope to use this forum alot, and a have a nice natter about why Dwarves beat all, cheers!

my first warband is called the ruglud roughnexxx .they got a ugly troll and a alotz of gobbos!!!!later i will show some pictures from this ugly and loud warband.

Well, In a desperate effort to find more current Mordheimers I once more darken Tom's door... Guess I might as well introduce myself this time.

Well, I've been chasing the pewter dragon for about 17 years now (Met a guy in middle school so desperate for opponents he gave me 500 pts worth of WHFB skaven and I never looked back), and have since moved on to Several WHFB armies (Skaven, Undead, Lizardmen, Empire, Dark Elves) A little 40k (Mostly just a face wrecking squad of chaos terminators) as well as the old and off the wall crap like Man'o'war, Inquisitor, Necromunda et. al.
It's strange, at the time Mordheim seemed like an afterthought, felt more like an opportunity for the 'eavy metal team to pose and play with their toys than actually game. Then I got older, developed an appreciable human attention span...and I understood. Why settle for a couple of blocky hills and a copse of trees when you can craft a whole world? The faceless legions being replaced with individuals whose stories, drives, and identities are more compelling than the whole they represent. Even the painting- There is a certain satisfaction to painting a regiment well and uniformly and it has its definite impact on the field, but the level of attention and care shown to one of these individuals allows for so many artistic deviations and experiments. Anyways, I realize I've been doing that thing where I keep talking for no good reason, so I will cut it here and leave it at saying hello all, glad to be here!

Big scale gaming is great painting practice for skirmish level games..all that mind numbing repetition has to be good for something.   

Hi guys, Thought I'd join up here as I'm slowly rediscovering Mordheim.
I worked for GW for many years along with several other companies as a modelmaker/painter before I left to do larger modelmaking things for a living.
I'm trying to put my skills to good use and as a Mordheim warband can have a lot more detail lavished on a few minis rather than spread over a hundred for WFB. I'm also looking into building some nicer scenery for myself too to match my Marienburg and Possessed warbands.
Who knows I might even get some time to play a game or two!
