Introduce yourself!

Hello all,

I'm a long time lurker on these forums, you recently moved to the Los Angeles area.

I wanted to finally introduce myself because I'm a long time mordhiem player that has started working on a personal update to the game and a new setting to play in. Hoping to get a more traditional campaign going at the local hobby store soon so I can gauge interest in playtesters when my update is ready. Before then though, I'll try to post some things and see what people think.

True, there is all sorts of goodness to be found, and feel free to share your own. I've found it really great to bounce ideas and inspiration with the other members here. We'd all be happy to do so.

Hello, I'm *looks at name tag* The Auld Grump, and I have played Mordheim from the beginning.

I have enough warbands that when I introduce new players I can generally loan them a fair starting warband, with later additions.

My main warbands are Reichlanders, Witch Hunters, and Undead.

Me secondary warbands are Dwarf Treasure Hunters and Averlanders.

I can field Orcs and Goblins, Osterlanders, Kislevites, Possessed. and Carnival of Chaos.

I could most likely field Skaven as well.

My most common foe (aside from my own warbands being borrowed by others) are Skaven and Possessed.

Not all of my miniatures are by GW.

For terrain I mostly use World Works PDF buildings.

Hey fellas, I'm Jordan

I've been on these forums a dew times in the past month or so and have played Mordheim for years (years ago). I also played almost all GW miniature strategy games (Warhammer, 40k, Necromunda, Gorkamorka, Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, amongst others) which has given me plenty of 'bits' and random models to make a warband out of.

Recently I've been motivated to make and paint a warband again - Reiklanders - and I also started creating a bridge for a 'Capture the Hill' (the bridge) type scenario.

I'm pretty keen on some big Mordheim campaigns with a bunch of people because much like all RPG styled games, I've started dozens of warbands and never played a lot of consecutive games with the same team.

Oh, and I live in Melbourne, Australia

Welcome Jordan! I hope that you manage to get a longer campaign going as options really opens up after warbands get a few battles under their belt.

(Oh and another Aussie on the forum is always good! Too bad you are all the way down south...)

my name is Daniel, I live in Brühl near Cologne in Germany.

I always really enjoyed playing Mordheim, but it never really had a place next to WHFB. Now with the 8th Edition and that I am living together with my girlfriend there is no real room for playing big battles. So I started building a Mordheim-table (which I will introduce as soon I get the better pics from my friend )

I hope my english is as good as it was back in school, or at least you can understand me ^^

I've been lurking on the forums the last couple of days, learning about the game. I've never played Mordheim before, or any other GW game, but it looks like an interesting setting.

I'm located in the Canadian sub-arctic, in Iqaluit on Baffin Island - the nearest gaming store is more than 2000 km away by air, so it may be difficult drumming up games here, but one of my co-workers has played the game before (she has some Sisters of Sigmar), and her fiancee (a former GW employee) is moving up here in the fall, after their wedding, so there's some hope.

I'm planning to put together at least a couple of warbands (right now looking at Beastmen and Gunnery School of Nuln), and I'd like to put together a game board, but have no experience with terrain building.

Wow! Your location does indeed sound isolated. Welcome to the forum. Feel free to ask questions and such, all of us had no experience at some point.

Facinating. I didn't even know that the Northwest Territories had been split up. (Yes I wiki'd it. )
