Greetings fellow denizens of the damned city!

I am an a recently returning hobbyist to games workshop in general and not too long into my journey I rediscovered my love for Mordheim!

Sadly however, I don't recall having actually, -ever- played a game but rest assured I am determined to find some like minded Mordheimers in my area with which to do battle with on my amazing table of scenery! (strictly a meta-physical table currently...)

I have no less than 4 warbands (also mostly meta-physical incidentally, hmm) in the works, which will be posted as soon as I have some fluff in place.

I discovered this place when trawling through the intertubes for updated Mordheim rules etc. I have a fair few thoughts on the topics of such and many many more questions to ask in return!

Anyway, enough about me!

Played my first ever game of Mordheim last night. My Dwarves VS a friends Witchhunters. And it was absolutely great. Got smashed the first game quite proficiently by overwhelming numbers (like 11-7) and disfavor of the gods (bad rolling). And actually permanently lost a Slayer and Clansmen on the injury table. So great start. The income didn't make up for it so we were thinking it would be best to restart the warband. But, wait, that's not the dwarf way! So I stuck with it, recruited back 1 slayer, alas no cash for the henchman and we went into a 2nd game. So now it was 6 vs 11, goodie. Anyway, I changed tactics and basically ran my Noble and slayers upto the Witchhunters followed by my Engineer and 2 Thunderers as backup. It was close, very close and both my Noble and slayers went down but were able to stand back up and from the jaws of disaster and Grimnirs favor turned the tide and many Witchhunters fell before dwarven steel stealing the will to fight from the rest!

So all in all a wondrous first Mordheim evening with a good friend. I had a few questions so i'll pop over to the right subsection in a bit.

Realized I never introduced myself even tough I made a thread in the gallery which will be updated with more Orcs&Goblins and Skaven pictures now and then.

I'm David, a 26 years old swedish guy. I've been in the hobby for like 15 years or so. As my conversion and painting ability has evolved through the years, I've started to put together new versions of my favorite warbands (which will double in my Warhammer Fantasy armies aswell). I'm an Orc&Goblin / Skaven player, but might do a dwarf and a possessed warband in the future too. And I play Tyranids in 40k.

Writing during a break here at work, so cannot check if the links to my project sites on warseer.com (many game sites blocked) are valid, but hopefully they are. I'm working with radiation curing paint for industrial application, as a development engineer.

I've already found tons of inspiration on this site, so hopefully I can contribute with some inspiration right back at ya!

Heyy im completely new to Mordheim, never played or even made a warband before but I've been an on/off warhammer hobbyist for a while now. I have to admit ive always been more attracted to a small band of warriors rather than a huge army, so I tend to make 500 point border patrol armies with a certain theme and never really make a full 2000 point army. Because I only like small armies and tend to get distracted easily I decided to try my hand at Mordheim so here goes!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I literally have no clue how to even structure a warband...

To get some suggestions about War Band composition, there's a sticky thread in the Rules & Game Play Section. Just post what band you're thinking of & you'll get all the advice you could possibly want...or stand.

I'm a Swede in my mid 20's living in Germany, working at a video game company and partaking in the noble wargaming hobby.

I'm new to Mordheim, haven't played a single game in my life, but the game system seems interesting so a friend and I have decided to try it out. I've been in and out of the hobby since the age of 11 and got back into it about a year ago after having been away for the better part of a decade. I play a lot of 40k and a bit of Fantasy and am very eager to see if Mordheim really is as good as they say.

My name's SteviL and some friends and I got a Mordheim campaign going in February and have been playing monthly--we'd do more, but the guy who hosts requires a bit of a drive. Worth it though, some of the best terrain I've ever seen and one HELL of a game space at his home! I've been sticking with Middenheimers from the get-go--LOVE the big beards and angry hammers!

I help manage a local game store with a very devoted following of miniatures gamers--we're getting set to do a Mordheim campaign there as well.

As for me, I'm an American in Wisconsin in my late 30s, happily married--my wife plays Skaven to boot! I've been wargaming since I was about 20 but have been working on miniatures since my early teens and now work on them professionally.

Um, anything else you guys wanna know?

Greetings My name is Raven. I'm very new to this hobby. I have been a gamer for 25+ years now and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am a disabled combat veteran from OIF/OEF I and I just like to do things on my own a lot. I have collected D&D minis for years now and have never painted till now. I have however made terrain for our Mordheim game and have graduated into painting models. I have my first set of Reiklander Riflemen, Wood Elf Glade Guard and Wood Elf Battalion. I hope to post pics soon of what I have done already.

My name is qazbnm and I'm a 20-something returning to the hobby. I recently dug up my old High Elf amy and fancied the idea of starting to paint and collect miniatures again. A I have limited time and resources a full out new fantasy army wouldn't do, I simply haven't got the time! But I checked out Mordheim, a game I had only heard about before. So I read the rules, checked out the forum and now I feel like 12 again Mordheim just seemed perfect.

So now I just have to buy some paint, some brushes and start touching them old elfs up!
