Thanks, Jim. I have the bottom half just about done; AND I lightened the blue on the lower half of the sphere to give a sky like effect for the star field. SO it's coming along.  

In what passes with moi for a burst of productivity, I finished The Steam Punk Observatory...seen here in all its gaudy grandeur:

Until Xherman from the reaper Forum inadvertently jogged my memory, I had forgotten that way back in '11, when the Observatory looked like it was going to be Heep's neighbor, I painted up Felstiff The Fate Keeper as its Master Astrologer.  AND here he si, along with his retinue of familiars:

Thanks, Jim. Armor Cast does some pretty cool models They are not the easiest of models to paint, but I think they are worth the effort. All that aside, I'm glad you liked the way it came out.  

I started painting the Twisted Tower awhile ago; AND made a flower pot for the Mushroom Diva...busy, busy.  

I used to have a bumper sticker tacked up on my bedroom door: "DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR. NOTHING BEFORE COFFEE." Truly words to live by.  

I tore a muscle in my calf just walking from the bedroom to the kitchen. Never made it to the coffee maker...

Never tore a muscle before. Exciting.

No happy dance.

You have my sympathy. Torn muscles, hamstring damage, whacked up knees, I've done some damage to my legs over the years, Definitely not fun...but while your sitting on the kitchen floor, you may as well get the coffee perking.

Its been 20+ years since the knees for me. I still have a walking stick from my Renaissance Fair days though.

Luckily I just brought home an old foot stool from the homestead in South Dakota.

The stool should help...good move. Having an "old homestead" sounds pretty good to moi also.

The observatory came out truly spectacular! Absolutely inspiring!

The Recreation Potion filled with such Lucky Charms is "dis-gus-ting-ly delicious!" The Observatory is amazing! Felstiff is so unique yet also so...familiar? Great reinvention of a classic tale with the Power Assist Braid Hoist and giving such a literal feel with your "Watch" tower. And, of course, who doesn't love a Potted-Shroom Diva? Keep it going!

Thanks for the kind reply, Doc! I'm just about to spray The Tower. Then I'll glue the beasty down. After that comes some Flower & Mushroom planting...detailing will be an ongoing thing. Photos are forthcoming.  

With The twisted Tower now in "living" color, all that remains is the fun part; i.e.,adding the details. Here are some photos of the board:

Wow, that must be the most creative/original design of scenery I have ever seen !
Especially love the flowers. Did you sculp and paint every leave separately ? That would be crazy.
I also like the colors you use, very bold, brave choices, but it works, they give the piece an magical 'unworldly' touch.

The Flowers are a combination of a couple types of plastic & cloth flowers from Michael's. I sculpted the faces & used some floral wire to allow them to strike a pose.
My colors have become a trade mark.  

You cranked that last part out quick with all your normal attention to detail. Spectacular! Are those trapped souls I see in the top windows? I like the angled pics and zooms. It really gives a feel of immersion to your board. Can't wait to see more detail and characters.

Thanks for the kind reply, Doc! I imagined the spooky thingies inhabiting the upper floor to be some ghostly apparitions, but they could be most anything you can come up with.  

Wonderful use of the flowers, they look gorgeous in their new home/haunt.

This looks great. I really admire people who can make bold use of colour work.
