There never seems to be enough, but, then again, I do love making terrain.
You can always start the campaign outside the City & make a grand entrance once you have more ruins.

Hello from New Zealand! Ive actually never played Mordheim 😱 but have been collecting/painting/customising citadel miniatures since 1998. I love creating things and am blown away by the incredible talent ive seen brosing the gallery.
Im mostly interested in building terrain and structures, and hope to one day get a job at Weta Workshop as a sculptor/ model maker 😁

So I'm really new to this whole forum thing. It took me awhile just to figure out where to go so I could write this.

So I love Mordheim. Been playing it on and off for probably close to 20 years. I have multiple warbands both from the main rulebook as well as several of the official and unofficial books/downloads. In fact right now I am currently starting a campaign at the University of Toronto's Gaming Club.

I'm so glad to find so many like minded individuals who love the though of a gritty scrap in a city ruin where anything can happen

I'm Austin. I used to play Mordheim a lot back in the early days, when I was in high school, but gradually moved away from all GW games because, well, they hate their players. I'm from Kansas City but recently moved to Colorado. A buddy of mine wanted to start up playing Mordheim again and I couldn't resist the urge. So, here I am.

I have been following the forum for a while but never joined as I did not have anything useful to add!

A Warhammer player for over 30 years I missed Mordheim the first time round due to Uni but got into it about 4 years ago when I found some other players. I am now at a different club (moved due to work) and have found another group playing. We now play most weeks, usually a massive multi game. I will try and post a picture of our set up later and a link to our last seasons gaming website (blocked from posting links for 7 days).

Loving the forum mad will try and join in a bit more of the chat.

Good evening friends, I am Arthur. I just picked up the miniatures I had started to convert about ten years ago. I'm not a Mordheim player, unfortunately, but I'm passionate about the city of the damned and I have some miniatures of this game. I'm very passionate about creating, often with waste material, pieces to use for the game. I hope I can show you something interesting, even though I've seen that many of you are masters in the field. In my small way, even if I am not up to you, I will try to be present. I greet you and I am going to show you a job I am completing these days.

I have never actually had the opportunity or inclination to play the game either, put it a superb subject for modeling & painting. HAVE FUN with it.

My name is Christian, and I started getting into Mordheim when the draft rules were first published in White Dwarf, some time before the game was actually released - it must have been around 1998 or 1999. I was fifteen years old at that time. I'd been into Blood Bowl and Warhammer Fantasy before that, but the dark and gloomy universe Mordheim, with its twisted characters and chaotic aestheticism and peculiar humor, really appealed to me, and I immediately began putting together my own ruined city based on the images of Tuomas Pirinen's homemade terrain in the magazine.

I became quite obsessed with the game at that time, and as the game came out and I saw how awesome the Games Workshop studio's own building were compared to Pirinen's terrain for the development phase, I had to scrap my old terrain and start building something new and similar to the GW-stuff. I even built a really cool sewer!

Unfortunately, certain circumstances caused that I didn't get to actually play the game much, but it didn't seem to matter that much to me - I was extremely productive in those years, and apart from creating bunches of ruined buildings, I wrote a number of articles, contributed to Town Cryer content, designed two massive narrative campaigns (which I unfortunately never got to play!) and spent a great deal of time on the old Mordheim eGroups-forum.

As it seems to happen to many of us hobby enthusiasts, after graduating from high school and beginning to study in Copenhagen, I gradually drifted away from the hobby and ended up lending my terrain to a friend. I'm not sure where it is today, if it hasn't been thrown out. Then came wife, work, kids and all that other wonderful stuff, and somewhere along that road I got my hands on a massive Orc army for Warhammer Fantasy, which collected dust for many years.

Until about a year and a half ago. I finally got an opportunity to start painting everting up during a period of postponed maternity leave, and countless hours later I could finally fulfil my old dream of mustering a fully painted fantasy army. A good friend and colleague of mine had been active in the hobby community in Copenhagen for years, and he persuaded his gaming group to pick up Kings of War. This quickly became our go-to game in the local club.

Inspired by the Mantic gaming system, I bought the Kings of War: Vanguard rulebook, a couple of warbands and put together some terrain and tried to convince my friend to give it a chance. That's when he started talking about Mordheim. Big mistake! I found my old rulebook, and man - the artwork, the setting, the fluff, even the smell of the book - it was all the same as I remember it back i 1999! I had no choice but to start building a new ruined city, and as of now, I've just finished painting everything. I just need to cut up some of the old original Mordheim sprues I still have in the Mordheim-box and put together a warband, then I'm ready to go again.

And it's great to see the online community is still alive here. I'm sure that I'll tap in occasionally, with questions, battle reports, observations, maybe scenarios and articles, and stuff like that.

Greetings everyone from Germany! I've started playing Mordheim in mid-2017 when I learned a pal from my sports team has an active group. Started playing GW tabletops over twenty years ago but never got into Mordheim so was eager to try. I currently got three active warbands(Sisters of Sigmar, Lizardmen and Tileans) all in various stages of half-painted, perhaps participating in this forum will give me the push to finally finish things up

My name is Rasmus, from sweden. Been lurking on and off for some time, but recently took the plunge back into mordheim after a long hiatus since 2000. (High school and stuff got in the way...). Most of the models got thrown out and thats a bummer, but at least now i have a job.. he he he..

I don't know if there are any players in my area in sweden right now - but I enjoy painting and making terrain quite alot so I'll start with that and we'll see if some of the nerd friends catch on!
