After discovering a local Warhammer group, I recently decided to take up Warhammer as a hobby again after close to a decade of doing other things with my spare time. As several people expressed an interest in Mordheim, which happens to be my favourite, I've decided to try and build a board and some scenery for the next meeting.
This seems to be the most prolific Mordheim forum on the web, so I thought I might pick people's brains here about the odd thing or two.

HI Folks,

Our group decided to try Mordheim for a change of pace and its kicked off in a big way.

We are loving it and have just started to use the BTB setting for added depth.

I found this site and it has been great at answering the many questions that have come up in our early delve into Mordheim.

I look forward getting involved in posts and asking the many questions that arise during our games.

Hi, everybody. Thought i should check in and present myself.

Name: Gustav Åhs
From: Sweden, Norrköping to be exact.
I play most games but mostly tabletop rpgs, boardgames and of course wargames. I also engage myself in 1400s fencing with longswords, arming swords and spears and I am also the district chairman of Sverok, Swedens largest youth organisation. Since I apparently don´t believe in sleep my club is now starting up Mordheim. At least as soon as our terrain builder has finished his mordheim buildings.

I love the warband mechanic and enjoy the fact that it´s spreading. I do play the occasional warhammer and malifaux games.

Since I am a boring traditionalist I obviously play mercenaries. Also because I get all the models and weapons I need from a pack of free companies. I am at the moment preparing by playing the computer game Mordheim which is starting to look pretty good, though not a substitute from the real thing.

Anyways, it is good to see an active forum and I will hopefully spend quite a lot of time here.

I'm a 20-something old boy from Roskilde, Denmark and have recently gotten back into mordheim after a ~13 year break. Not many people in my area play so I usually just build terrain and warbands and dream about what could have been ^^'
I work as a character artist at Logic Artists and my hobbies are very centered around rpgs, tabletop/pnp/larp/computer- you name it

There's not much action here either; SO I can identify. Painting, modeling, & day dreaming are fine pastimes however.  

Hi all, I've been a very long time browser of the work showcased here and a great fan of the community surrouding Mordheim.

Though I haven't played Mordheim much, I have been a great promoter of old school Warhammer Quest, producing tile art and heroes often. On Floedebolle's encouragement, I'll post up my past projects and current as I go along; hopefully spark cool ideas and share tips

Hi there!

I have been cleaning the dust off my old models and now I'm ready to start playing Mordheim again after 10 years. The video game release made me watch some videos, that made me watch some batreps... and now I'm looking for a group of players in Madrid (Spain) to make the dice roll again.

I'm happy to see there are so many sites where people are still interested in this great game, and this forum seems one of the most active. I really liked the post about dual wielding, great job there guys.

Hello, new to the forum.  Played a lot back in 2005-2006, moved to Edmonton in 2007 and stopped playing due to lack of time.  Started collecting and building things about a year ago again, can't wait to play once more now that my schedule has opened up a bit.
I have found a bunch of old campaign notes, which I would like to share, but they are hand written.  I'm looking for some sort of recommendation on a program or format to use in-order to transfer the old pencil-and-paper information onto a computer so that I may share it.  Thank you for your time, I look forward to joining the forum

I am (almost) new to tabletop games. A friend asked me about playing some game called "Mordheim" and I agreed to join his group. Now I am here. Why? Because Mordheim is AWESOME.
Right now I am two games into our campaign playing a Woodelf Warband.

I'm started to play Mordheim+Bordertown burning with my buddies like 2 weeks ago. In our little group we got 4 warbands (Dwarf treasure hunters, Ork's as Da mob rulez!, my Marauders of Chaos  and a fresh dark elves warband). Also there are some other dudes whishing to play (one with witch hunters).

I also have a question. Lots of topics and post telling that the the Elves are unfairly op. Well in our group they not played any game so far. So my question is:

Is this true or only if they maxed out in a certain way? is there any advice how to beat them?

Funny thing is that we played 4 games so far and I was the lucky bastard to win all of them. (1 shared barfight with the orks in the BtB 07. scenario, Last orders!, 2 Horrors of the underground btb 02. scenario against the dwarfs˙once got the egg) and one Mordheim original treasure hunt which was a close call against the orks).

Also bonus question: Is any other warband are generally considered ower power? What's the opinion in marauders?

Your best bet to get answers to rules questions is to post them in the Rules & Gamesplay Section. My observation is that War Bands are considered over powered by folks you consistently lose to them.

Hello!

I'm David, in Florida. I played Mordheim a few years ago. I've got no mini's today but I love the game. I recently started maintaining, and enhancing, the BattleScribe data for Mordheim. There's a lot of work to be done, especially adding new armies, if your mini's arn't represented post an issue describing which warband you'ld like to see and I'll prioritize it.
