| The Hunters become the HuntedThe Druchi meet Witch Hunters far from home [Chad was back from running Mordheim games at Gencon. Unfortunately he grabbed his Witch Hunters rather than his Pyrates when he left home. So the Hunters of the Fallen from The City of Thieves campaign made an cameo appearance in the jungle.] A brief, brutal battle near the Temple of Tinni Winni. Post Battle The Elfs lost several warriors and fled. No word on casualties. This battle marked the first appearance of The Traitor (Alter Ego Achievement from the Silent Threat Objective). Sister Silent Faith II, the Augur of the Sisters Fanaticus, is apparently a secret worshiper of forbidden gods. In other news a bounty has been put on the head of Bunny the Slayer. Chris is catching up on his Objectives... Dark Elves of Naggaroth--1 CP The Witch Hunters made lots of money from Cold One hides; gained much experience from bashing Dark Elfs and disappeared back into the jungle... | |

| The Temple of DoomThe Toss Their Hair Tribe race da Suncrashas to fabulous treasures (girls cheat) From the Saga of the Toss Their Hair Tribe On the Twenty-first day of the Moon of Hot Days Freya the Serpent Priestess did lead the Tribe into the City of Ghosts to seek the Maze of Puzzles beneath the Great Pyramid of Xsdrihop II. The Ancient One Whose-Name-No-One-can-Pronounce led the advance expedition with N'Longa and Modon in support. As N'Longa the pygmy lifted the ancient Plaque of Tepec from the dust covered dais upon which it had rested for millenia, he was attacked by withered corpses.
The sound of Orc drums filled the ancient corridors. The sound of marching feet, shouts and the occasional grunt of pain drew nearer from the darkness to the south. The zombies refused to be destroyed. Orcs broke into the treasure chamber. The Ancient One Whose-Name-No-One-can-Pronounce destroyed one of the zombies, then fell upon a huge orc carrying a great ax. Before the advance party could be overwhelmed the Champions Lorna and Bunny the Slayer led the Tribe's scouts to the rescue. The Ancient One Whose-Name-No-One-can-Pronounce destroyed one of the zombies. The Orcs gather in the darkness outside of the Treasure Chamber. Lorna the White and Bunny the Slayer prepare to rush into the Treasure Chamber. Everyone else is being held up by darkness and Guardian Spirits. One zombie is trampled into dust. Arrows fly from the dark. The Orcs' early success seems to have deserted them. The last few feet of the corridor prove to be heavily trapped and hard to traverse. The Orcs are heavily outnumbered in the main room. Because everyone fell down trying to rush through the narrow doorway...(Off to your left you can see the 2 boyz taken OoA by the Black Orc Chieftain for squabbling.) Post Battle All orc casualties recovered except Rubba, who suffered Multiple Injuries. He Survived Against the Odds and hates the Ancient One. The Suncrashas buy some fire arrows... Da Suncrashas--1 CP Kara, First of Three, was killed by a pit trap. The Tribe collects all of the random treasures in the chamber plus the Plaque of Tepec. With the fabulous wealth acquired from the chamber the tribe purchases more Skins and Charms, a Claw of the Old Ones and another warrior named Kara. The Toss Their Hair Tribe--4 CP (+3 Major Artifact Reclaimed)

| Thanks Alan. The Hunters become the HuntedThe Ghostly Gobbos hunt the Druchi to their sorrow. It were passing strange I tell ye. Them nasty elf things were following this Scaled One Beastmaster, see? The little devil gives them the slip. Comes back with two of the biggest Cold Ones these eyes ever seen. Meantime these Gobbos shows up. Gobbos all dressed in white robes, most of them, with they faces painted all white. Strange, I tell ye. Anyway this odd fight starts right out in the middle of no where. Turns out the elfs had something that scared the Cold Ones so the big beasts wouldn't fight. Fit that little Scaled One to be tied, yessir. At least until some elf cut his head right off. He were some surprised, wasn't he just?
Then them elf, they start hunting them Gobbos. Gobbos hooting and hollering for help, but them Ghost Gobbo, they all split up, all over the jungle. Groups come running up, elfs pounce on them, cut them up. Gobbos give it up.The Gobbo chief climbs the Temple of Tinni Winni as dropsy affects the Druchi. Post Battle The Gobbos gave it up. Shaman Wazgrat da Magikii suffers Multiple Injuries. As a result he is eaten by a Cold One which is always fatal. Da Ghostly White Gobbos--1 CP The Dark Elfs lost one hench-elf killed. The captured Cold Ones are sold (at least as far as I know). The Dark Elfs of Naggaroth--4 CP (+2 Poisoned enemy) ____________________________________________________________________________________ Jungle SkirmishA Frightful Battle between the Undead Report by Elijah Photos by playtable and Elijah Baron Moore arranged his warband on the hilltop to receive the advance of the notoriously fast enemy. The only chance of victory depended delaying the opposing vampire while destroying enough of his weaker minions to drive him off. Unfortunately there was nowhere out of reach of the dire wolves.
Therefore sacrificial ghouls, told that the enemy were soft and that those in front would eat first, were placed in stair step formation all up the right approach to the hilltop. Frank and the witch known as Jenna "Sidle", so named because of her oblique gait, were behind them, ready to place hexes. Two assassins would try to shoot down the vulnerable wolves. Baron Moore planned to run to the left, supported by Sammy Terry, Doug the Overtaker, and Nameless Halberd Dreg, and chop up ghouls.
Shooting in the dark proved ineffective and the enemy closed rapidly.
Two turns of close quarter fighting and the Court was ready to run for it, but Baron Moore would not give in so soon.
Once the ghoulish fodder was downed, the assassins were felled, followed soon after by Frank and Jenna.
Still Baron Moore held on, cutting down ghouls and sending Sammy and Nameless to snuff the enemy's warlock.
By this point, both warbands had been ready to bolt for it for some time. And still the Baron held his team together. At last the enemy vampire had cut through all of his delayers and made straight for Baron Moore. Doug threw himself in the way of the charging devil, giving the Baron the countercharge, but it was not enough - Baron Moore went down.
Even as he dissipated into a wisp of purple fog he charged his two remaining servants - Sammy Terry and a very skinny beggar - to hold their ground, which they did. Not realizing that victory was already in their grasp, the foe fled into the night, leaving the Purple Court victorious!
The members of the Court made their way back to their jungle hideout, except for two ghouls, Nameless Halberd Dreg, and Frank Putrefaction, who was found later, wandering in the jungle having forgotten all of his spells and lost all of his equipment. - Jim B wrote:

| The Ghostly Goblins are bravely sticking to their Grand Plan of lulling the Elvin Perverts into a false sense of security. The Pasty Faced Ones are tenacious if somewhat dense. AND a dramatic victory, with a possible Oscar nomination, for Baron Moore. WELL DONE! | |

| Thanks for your constant encouragements, DeafNala. I am the player of the Purple Court in this, my first, Mordheim campaign. I signed up for an account on this forum mainly for the purpose of mentioning to you that I've been perusing your Maudeheim as well as its Environs and find it to be the single most impressive, distinctive, and darkly whimsical piece of styrofoam that I have encountered. Keep up the good work! | |

You're most welcome! For such imaginative War Band & games play a word or two of encouragement is the least I can do...I especially enjoy your characters' names. You've got a FINE Group of Fellows to game with; that does seem like a great way to break into the game. I'm delighted you are enjoying The Project & took the time to say so. I should be posting an update on the Urban Blight Board in a day or so.

| Sundayheim--Dem's My Gubbinz!Rob--Da Grey Horde Orcs Jim S [aka Von Kurst]--The Toss Their Hair Tribe From the Saga of the Toss Their Hair Tribe On the twentyfourth day of the Moon of Hot Days Freya the Serpent Priestess did lead the Tribe to investigate the last abandoned greenskin village in the Tribe's domain. Like the others the Tribe knew the village was abandoned because the warriors of the Tribe had killed the goblins who had lived there. One dying goblin had hinted that the village concealed the Reel Tru Sacred Gubbin, an artifact of great power. Freya was determined to claim the artifact before an Outlander stumbled upon it.
Freya was right to hurry to claim the treasure. Even as one of the scouts discovered the artifact, the Tribe was attacked by the warriors of the Grey Horde. The Ancient One Whose Name None can Pronounce held the attackers at bay until the Totem Warriors could defeat them. The Tribe claimed one of the dread Pieces of Eight. The battle for the village rages. The Horde has one gubbin. Areal view. Not going well for the Horde. Off in the distance the scout flees the table with the Sacred Gubbin. Post Battle The Grey Horde suffered three encounters including a Log Fall trap, Swamp Flies and the Terradon Nest. The Horde suffered the loss of a newly promoted hero, Blurp, who was killed by the Zoat. The Grey Horde--1 CP The Tribe lost no one although Bunny the Slayer broke her leg in a fall. If she was not already Bunny the Slayer, she would now be known as Bunny the Gimp. The tribe recovered five of the Gubbins, discovered a cache of Black Powder and successfully resisted the Lure of Chaos that the Piece of Eight radiates. | The SignpostThe Ghostly Goblins try to discover the City of Ghosts once again From the Saga of the Toss Their Hair Tribe On the fourth day of the Moon of Corn Cutting Freya the Serpent Priestess did lead the tribe to the Valley of Rigg to intercept the Pale Greenskins before they could discover the road to the Ghost City. The tribe easily arrived at the valley before the Pale Greenskins. The scout Æsa secured the signpost before she was struck down by a goblin bolt. Freya summoned the Shield of Thorns to ward her. The Priestess led the Tribe forward to drive the goblins from the valley. More bolts and arrows flew from the dark. Freya forged bravely ahead. Then disaster struck. A goblin had crept ahead of its fellows. The fiend fell upon Freya, leaping from a dark thicket. The Shield of Thorns thwarted the goblin attack. Freya slew the treacherous goblin with a bright dagger. Then did the foe spring their trap! A volley of cruel darts flew out of the darkness. Freya was struck many times as she stood above her vanquished foe. Without her Shield of Thorns the Priestess was defenseless! The Tribe smote goblins in vengeful wrath. The cowards fled, but the price of victory was terrible. The battle rages in the entrance to the Valley. Lorna One Hand and Freya are about to kill the sneaky goblin (right of photo). The goblin firing squad awaits at the top of the frame. It is sad that in her last photo, Freya was knocked over accidentally. Da Ghostly Goblins lost da Prodda Too (second one in as many games) and Stick'mwitdapointystik. Headtaker fully recovered and Da Stabba suffered a sucking Chest Wound or maybe it was the other way around. Da Ghostly Goblins of da Night--1 CP The Tribe lost the veteran scout Æsa and, despite her Elixir of Life, Freya. Exploration saw the Tribe discovering some lost Outlanders in a row boat. The Outlanders were sacrificed to Rigg at Freya's funeral games. Ketta the Vampire Slayer becomes the new leader of the tribe.

| Thanks Al. The girls will soldier on. Chance Encounter in the City of GhostsThe Purple Court meets the Druchii Report and photos by Elijah Baron Moore hid his minions on one side of the ancient temple and advance them across the apex, keeping them out of sight of the dark elves until they were able to begin descending the staircase on the other side. Several members of the court fell down, making them late to the battle that began at the bottom of the staircase. The elves were able to take out a couple of ghouls that had not made it into close combat with shooting and doombolts. When the fighting began in earnest, three elves and three ghouls were taken out of action in the first couple of minutes, a fairly even result that looked like it just might turn in the Court's favour if they could muster another charge, but they took to their heels at first opportunity instead.
The entire battle took place on the one staircase! The Court deploys well forward yet out of sight. The dark elves will soon abandon their firing positions for lack of targets. Very Skinny (skeletal) Beggar has a full, yet quite safe, view of the field. The battle on the staircase. The photo is almost a surrealist painting. Post Battle The all important post battle rolls and tables: The Purple Court suffers no losses for the first time in awhile. 1 CP The Druchii lose one corsair henchman. 2 CP

| Sundayheim--A Battle for Haunted Treasure at the City of GhostsOr Why Sisters shouldn't Scrap on Sunday Report and Photos by playtable with comments by Andrew It was daytime... Rainy, -1 to shooting, black powder weapons fire on 4+. Orcs deploy 6 shooters on top of their East building in center, with 7 more and Warlock on the North side.
Headless White Super Orc hero, (is, I think) WS6, S5, T5, W2, I4, A3?, bone armor (4+ save but because black orc = 3+ save) + shield = 2+ save AND Step aside, heads out 1st to draw ghouls out to charge him. After a couple of rounds, they are all gone. [Ghouls are represented by Empire swordsmen. Apologies for the confusion this may cause to our viewers.]
- Andrew wrote:
- I do not have a headless orc. Though I do have an orc whose shoulders are so magnificently large that his squashed down head is hard to notice.
Dat's Burna.
On the West, the Sisters spread out. A few stay in cover going North. A few stay in cover going South. A gaggle of girls go straight forward to draw out the ghouls.
Guido, the Tilean marksman fails to climb a wall, twice in a row.
- Andrew wrote:
- Guido also had a good vantage and was the Sister's most effective unit by a wide margin.
In short order all gasts and ghouls are gone. Sisters go into the wooded hill to draw the king out. [The Ghoul King is represented by a pirate orc. The barren, rocky hill represents a wooded hill.]
He eventually dies again.
The whole battle really is me staying hidden from his shooters, getting shot anyway. But the side runs North and South are to draw his ground fighters out to pummel.
I sacrificed 2 girls to the plan and it worked well except for the fact that his 2 heroes were unstoppable.
Finally, the Orcs, unhurt except for 2 OOA from animosity, move towards the bulk of the Sisters. Sisters throw themselves onto the two heroes with utter abandon. The headless one in the open
The pewter one on the jungle hill (WS5, S6 great weapon, Strongman, T5,Combat master, 2W, Step aside and who knows what else.
Orcs cannot be hurt. Strength 3 and 4 have a hard time injuring T5. Sisters should have left a long, long time ago but wanted to see how long it would take for the Orc luck to run out. The headless one finally went OOA.
But it was too late and the Sisters routed with 15 OOA, 4 being heroes [top of photo].
Post Battle The Orcs find the auto-gold crowns in the treasure chest but find nothing else. The 5 Orcs OOA all recover.
- Andrew wrote:
- From right to left, we have:
Unnamed just hired on Wizard. Clubba, fairly ok Hench taken out by charging a fellow orc and being KO'd by the vastly inferior hench. Stranga, who was taken out for insubordination by the Warboss. Danja, who actually managed to make it to the fight, take out a knocked down target and then get promptly counter-charged. And Burna who took out four sisters and generally was an unstoppable behemoth for far longer than he should have.
- Andrew wrote:
- The Battle went fairly horribly for the Sisters. The Suncrasha's won the scenario and and wrecked the Sisters fighting force, inflicting 5 dead after taking over 2/3rds of the Sisterhood out of action, including four heroes. Two Heroes, Burna and Rubba each took out 4 Sisters in single combat, unaided save for one swiftly removed Hench.
Suncrasha Orcs--2 CP
Of the 15 Sisters OOA, 4 die as does the Bard, Lillian.
Mother Magrett goes down to I2 Sister Superior Victoria becomes Stupid Sister Superior Charity must miss the next game Novice Superior Charline survives against the odds. Sister Inga II dies (5exp) Sister Kathrine dies (14exp) Novice Mary dies (14exp) Novice Rebekka dies (14exp) Bard Lillian dies (30exp) Only 2 heroes get to explore, find 2 shards + 45 gc.
