COOL new Elf Folk & the Infinity Chic ROCKS!
I started on a new take of my Pumpkin Heads. I got the idea from a Rackham piece posted on C.M.o.N..
Next step: paint the actual minis...surprise. Addendum: the Lads are now less clearly seen in a single photo. For closeups go here:
which gave me inspiration to get started with some of my favourite non-fantasy models: Kroot Carnivores. Since my collection is 100% fantasy, I decided to do simple conversions on these guys and replace their rifles with some orc's spears and Empire crossbows - and axes from Beastmen.
Ironically, that was the easiest part. The painful bit was to glue their arms and hands to each other. Took me ages and far too much super glue for my taste to finish everything off. They should've made these kits easier to assemble.
The other thing that could be improved is the variation of heads of these guys, as they look pretty much the same...
On a positive note, they come with loads of little props like pouches, bags, ribs and provisions and extra weapons they can carry on their waists or backs.
Anyway, here they are:

Thanks JoaoS! AND those former Kroot look TERRIFIC; their avian features make them perfect followers of that Chaos Bird Deity, Whatshisname. FINE WORK! Assembly is not a strong point with G.W...it does present me with an opportunity to use some interesting expressions however.

Some nice minis in here. But weren't we supposed to post everthin in a single pic only?

Yep. I guess I'm the culprit here... couldn't fit all in one photo.

You're right on that one. The intro did say a single picture, which I missed. Of course, Jorisch hasn't objected & it is his thread. I'm sure when you get around to posting your works, Grim, you'll keep it to a single photo.

You could come up with penalties for people who post more than one picture. For example, the person doing it has to then paint all those miniatures in less than a week. I'm playing with fire here.

Challenges are excellent motivating factors. Of course, I've only got 4 minis to do to fulfill my part of the beasty.

I play them as Reikländer or Middenheimer (and might have a go at other Mercs some day). But I also use them as early-stage Witch Hunter and since some day all my warbands are supposed to look like a witchhunting Empire Army, they get a paintjob somewhat simular to what my Inquisitor is wearing.

@Grimscull: the Witch Hunter Army sound very cool. There was one featured in the W.D. (US Edition) a few years ago...some beautiful conversion work. I for one would be interested in following your progress with the Beasty.
@ mazah: That's quite a variety of interesting stuff you've got going...looks like you're a G.S. Addict.

After quite a long absence, I thought I'll join in again. Apart from a number of pirate, merchant caravan, priest and hired sword conversion (which can be seen in the respective threads), I am currently working on my first full sculpt to see if I got what it takes to create 100% original miniatures
