| Hey guys, couldnt get those pics of a fabulous converted and painted ogre of the empire out of my head, so today i began to convert one of my old heroquest ogres into a nasty, but domestic empire ogre bodyguard for my reiklanders, they DO lack musclepower! As an inspiration i took a look on some old photos when i did medieval reenectment of the 15th century period in germany and europe, and i just found THE helmet for my bodyguard: a nice sallet helmet, and maybe a bevour also, we will see! Enjoy, floedebolle In the background you can see the beginning of his twohandsword. | |

| The sallet looks nice! I like the use of plastic for the base of the visor, very smart. | |

I second the motion! That ogre is a great base to start with. Lots of character, but I dont remember it in Hero Quest..

| LOOKIN' GOOD! The Big Guy would probably fit REALLY nicely into one of the more cartoony War Band....Halfings come to mind. I also like the way the helmet is coming out. Keep up the GOOD WORK! | |

| hey guys, nice to know that i head into the right direction with this miniature. the ogre is from my HEROQUEST Masteredition, wich includes every expantionset that there is for HQ, and the name of the expantion with the ogres is: " Against the Ogre-Hordes " , and he is one of three different guys. The reason why he is looking to the left is cause he houlds up a freshly hanged guy, he just collected for supper, and he is inspecting wich part of him he will have first! By the way, here comes a up to date pic: Found out that milliput works fine for big parts to sculp, and its not that expensive like greenstuff is. | |

| I always like to see old Heroquest stuff re-imagined for other games. Increasing his height is a must, and the helmet looks really nice!
The Ogre if from either Against the Ogre Hoard (UK edition only), or the Elf Quest Pack (US edition only).

| Ah ja, and the reason why i didnt add a visor to the sallet was because i am afraid of breakin it while gaming, trust me , since i lost small tiny parts on my figures during the last games, i think much more of the gaming aspect when i convert something new, and i thought that a superthin visor wouldnt last long, well at least not while i am playing with it, . Thanks for the flowers deafnala, great you like it, cant wait to paint him, cause i love to paint big modells, its so easygoing, cheers, floedebolle | |

| Very nice work, it looks creative, characterful and just wonderfully cool I have to ask though: it looks like you moved back to green stuff after you mentioned you were using milliput (unless there's some kind of green milliput that I don't know about...), so I was curious why that was; was it just to do with the texture? I find milliput to be too course for regular sized sculpting, and only use it for filling gaps myself. | |

| @ultra bob no, the only reason why i went on with GS was simply because it was the first in reach materials, i was too lazy for walking down the stairs and get my milli, so i took the green guy, and i do not regret it, but i do think that for example getting some nice sharp edges, milli is better! thanks you like it! | |

| I like him a lot. Very characterful. The sword is nice, and the feather looks just as good as the visor. | |
