| Hey, great idea for a thread! And great works I can see already being developed! I'm not putting one photo, but three, as I'm currently working on 3 different factions for Vampire Hunters (a mix of West Wind Productions and GW models). Actually, this is only one small part of my current project. I'm working on a few hundreds of miniatures at the same time, which means I won't have all of this done in the next few years - that's the price I have to pay for being such a scattered brain! The idea here is to apply a basecoat and then wash everything with devlan mud (an extremely stinky paint, as my girlfriend has been complaining) and then highlight the whole thing. This way, all the minis look gritty and dirty for more realism. Joao | |

| Hey, here's a comparative photo with some GW minis next to the monks - the monks are from WWP (West Wind Productions) and they come attached to small bases which I've kept. This gives them a slight extra height comparing to the other minis, but not a big deal really: Joao | |

| @ JoaoS: thanks for pointing me to those witch-hunters from WWP. I could finally identify some odd minis I stumbled upon.
@ Jorisch: the dog in the very first pic. Where is he from?

It's from Scibor Miniatures. Fantastic Model and they have a couple of different ones. And thanks everyone for sharing!

| Excellent DeafNala! This thread seems to be quite populated with Gothic Horror stuff! I painted those scarecrows but was very disappointed with my work, so I might repaint them at some point.
Have you seen the Foundry scarecrows, though? They might interest you - although they're slightly smaller than the West Wind ones.

| Thanks JoaoS; it's a bit too soon to say how well they'll turn out...just hope for the best. We work with a pretty forgiving medium; if it doesn't turn out as well as it should, just soak the sucker & try again....& again, etc. I'm not sure if I've seen the Foundry ones; I'll check the War Store for them. This Reaper is one I definitely want: | |

| As you can see The Ferret has been busy - the building and moveable terrain are coming along nicely as are the mercenaries. | |

| OOH, MORE COOLNESS! GREAT looking stuff, Ferret, & some FINE painting ideas to shamelessly style with your West Wind stuff, JoaoS. The popularity of the thread is a very pleasant surprise for moi. It's rather like hanging out for a painting session with some friends...minus the chips & dips. | |

Nothing definite...I had been using the War Bands Rules from the '04 W.D. with modifications for solo play. Now I'm thinking of switching to Chaos in Carpathia.
