| I've recently been painting, and in a lot of cases repainting a lot of my old Mordheim stuff for a new campain. I stripped and repainted all these Marienburg Heros, and I'm glad I did: The henchmen are almost done too, but those are just current empire plastics. The bases clearly aren't done yet. I also recently finished a Warlock and a Bounty Hunter. I'm always open to ideas for improvent.

| An interesting idea to go mainly for red and yellow and leave the blue out (on the Marienburger). Do you have before/after pics of them? Is that bounty hunter a Reaper mini? The wizard maybe looks a little "flat". His staff, cloak, skin and that thing behind his head are all basically the same colour, so from a distance you might not be able to make out the different areas on the mini. It's WAY better on the Marienburger and especially the Bounty Hunter. | |

| The bounty hunter is a reaper mini. I'm a big fan of of a lot of their stuff.
To be honest I'm not sure what happened to the blue on those heros. I just started painting and the blue never really worked it's way in. It's a spot colour, but only in a few spots. That bothered me a bit, but overall I like the way they look so I let it be.
The warlock was a bit of an attempt at painting something all brown and seeing it I could pull the levels out enough. It's not as flat as it looks in the picture (lighting isn't great) but it's also not near as good as I wanted. Oh well, practice. I'm honestly surprised with how well the flames on the candles turned out though.

| I'll post some pictures of the other stuff I've done over that last couple years too. I washed the skaven a little to heavy, and probably ought to hit them with a drybrush at some point. The outlaws were my re-entry to painting after many many years off. Most of them I'm actually quite happy with. Shadow Warrior Heros: Henchmen: https://s1327.photobucket.com/user/West_Ely/media/ulthuan%20pics/More%20Mordheim/DSCF4914_zpswdianynr.jpg.html?sort=3&o=7Outlaws (there are more henchmen, but it's just more from the current plastic archers) Reikland Heros (henchmen are just current empire plastics in reikland colours): Skaven Heros: Henchmen: Various Hired Swords: | |

| Next up I'm doing a few 4e Shadow Warriors, and then a Possessed band. I've gotten really good at buying batches of minis and then selling enough to them to make a profit and then keeping the rest. I've picked up all the metal possessed sculpts except one magister, one brethern, one beastman, and one darksoul. And I'm $20 richer than if I hadn't bought any of them. And I still have a few brethern and one possessed extra to sell. Once I do I'll probably pick up a box of the forsaken as those look really useful for possessed and mutants. I've also got most of a sisters of sigmar ($15 profit currently) and about half an amazon warband ($30 profit so far). It's a slow way to build the collection, but it adds an extra element of fun. I just picked up some dwarf treasure hunters, putting me in the hole on that band, but I'm 90% sure that I've got enough to sell to break even and still have a full warband once I add in some old metals I've had laying around for 20ish years.
I also sell a lot of buildings because I like making them and my wife insists that I only get the one room to store them in.

| Nice collection and again interesting colours on the Reikländer. Now if only all the minis were based properly like the Shadow Elves ... | |

| Ya, that's why most of them are still works in progress. There are to many to do them the way I did the SW, that would take far to long. But I've got a plan. Just waiting on some things in the mail. | |

| Shadow Novices: (4/5e Shadow warriors, with mordheim shadow warrior shields). Elven Ranger and Johann the Knife Possessed Magister, Brethren, Gors. I'm working on a couple starter possessed and mutants currently. Up next to to finish the heros for the Possessed (which will need frequent adjustment/replacement). Then I've got a freelance knight and a trollslayer. After that I'm thinking Witch Hunters followed by middenheim. I also really need to do some bases.... | |

| Thanks for posting all the warband images. Its fun to see what different painters come up with. And to see some of the old minis I missed when they were in stores. | |

| I really like most of the original Mordheim range, so I've been picking those up when I find a good deal. It's also pointed out some strange things. They only made 2 dregs and 2 Sister Superiors, despite the fact that you can have 3 of them in your warband. It just seems strange that they didn't do those before moving on to some of the less critical things like the clan skyre rat orge.
I'm kicking myself for not picking up the foot/mounted mercinary captains when I still had a chance to get them. I almost bought them, but was going to be away for a few months so decided to pick them up when I returned. While I was gone they stopped selling all the specialist stuff.

| Thanks. I picked up the Marienburgers, Witch Hunters, Undead and a few hired swords while the game was new, and then a bunch more stuff when the closest store had it a 50% off. The rest has been a slow process on e-bay/bartertown only using money from selling hobby stuff or trading. It helps that I sell a couple hundred dollars worth of buildings almost every month.
I should really get around to posting some of my buildings as well. They are not as insanely beautiful as some of what I see posted on this site, but they're pretty nice, and a bit more "gameplay friendly" than most of those look to be. I'm still in awe of a lot of those though, and a bit envious of the skill involved...

| Here are some more possessed. The reaper viking will be used as a darksoul (eventually) and the darksoul will start out as a deamon soul (it's cheap) mutant until he dies and is replaced by a better one (that I will have to build). The other mutant has a scorpion tail. The possessed are starting with no mutations but I might keep using the claw one for a bit. I've got some plastic forsaken for future possessed and mutant building. And some Hired Swords | |

| I got that Viking back when you could have Marauder Chieften's as heroes in Chaos Armies. He hasn't done much in a while. Nice use of different colors on the Possessed. I really like seeing the old freelancer. He's one of my favorite Mordheim models. | |

| Ja, that Viking has been sitting in a box since shortly after they did the Norse rules in a TC. It's a really nice model though.
The possessed were probably the hardest to paint out of everything I've done recently. I just couldn't really find motivation for them. The humans for the warband were all fun to do, but the 2 possessed just weren't.

| SPLENDID ADDITIONS! I'm partial top the Babe in green. While I do like what other Folks have done with their Possessed minis, I've never found any motivation to paint my own...at least not the G.W. ones. GREAT WORK once more! What have you planned for the bases? | |

| She's another that's been sitting in a box for over a decade. My brother picked he up for a painting contest and then didn't have time to paint. He let me dig though his stuff for this current mordheim project, and she just looked like she needed to become a mutant.
The plan for the bases is to use some textured plastic card, and then cut it to fit the bases. I think I found a stone pattern. The hard part is that there isn't anywhere local to buy it so I'm just hopeing the scale I picked looks good. Shipping has also taken far longer than expected.

| I've started painting bases up, but haven't moved any models to them yet. I really like how they are turning out though. Cheap, very simple, and honestly look as good as a lot of the resin ones out there. But for now here are some Witch Hunters: and henchmen: | |

| Great looking collection of Witch Hunters. I really like the way the torches look in the photo. The variation you get with the dogs' fur is also well done. | |
