Congratulations on your new Mordheim Group, you LUCKY so & so, AND WELCOME BACK [I can take the candle out of the window now ].
That's a pretty GRAND re-entrance to the Forum. The brick work looks good, & as with the Hanging Man [a tough act to follow ] it has a definite Mordheim feel. The two of them probably look GREAT together. I LOVE your choice of colors. VERY WELL DONE! Don't be a stranger!

Hey all, thanks for the warm welcome back ^_^.

Ash, I thought the same thing, but it's store terrain, so I didn't want to go too too nuts with it! Thanks for the smoke damage comment too, I used what little I know about fire progression from being a fire fighter to help guide how I added that detail ^_^.

Mago, the timbers were just done with what was on hand. I happened to have a lot of the same sized pieces of balsa, so I went nuts with that! I didn't want to do too much cutting for this piece, like I did with The Hanging Man. As for stirring things up in Mexico, good luck with that ^_^, you could always come a few hours north and play with us ^_-...

I'm bringing this piece up to the shop to it's final home on our store mordheim table. I'm pretty psyched the owner is even letting us have a permanant table at the shop! Most stores just keep it straight 40k/fantasy friendly! This is a great coup!

Alrighty, well I've started working on another building. This one isn't built by me, but by another local player. I've taken on painting duty for the piece to get it finished ^_^. It's still got about another days worth of paint before it's 100%, but it's coming along well enough.



The inside still needs to be completed, it's been basecoated in the black-brown color. Hoping to have this one done tomorrow night sometime!

C&C welcome as always, but again, I didn't build it! Just painting! I can however pass on any construction crit.

Deaf, The original idea behind the building was a 'constable' building from what the builder was saying, but I am leaning to your idea more now that it's finished, looks much more like a warehouse ^_-.

The builder did it by ripping/cutting away the top layer of the foamcore and drawing in the bricks on the exposed foam beneath. It's the same technique as I highlighted in this tip I used for the wood grain floors of my earlier building.

Note that some foamboard are harder to "peel" than others.

If you find your material won't come off clean, you can use a sponge with water to damp it and then rub you finger gently over the card and it will come off.

VERY NICE! It's good looking & games-worthy, a perfect combo. The interior has a LOT of detailing potential, if you feel like going nuts. Thanks for the additional views, &, again, WELL DONE!

New building in the works:





More foamcore work will happen when this set dries. I'll be peeling back some of the walls and doing stonework on the foam. Then it's the usual balsa work, with a light spackle in between for texture. A small bit of roof overhanging just for that added detail element as well. Nice easy piece this one is turning out to be.

Really cool, I like the pile of burned wood on the first floor (or is second for you english guys???) Good luck with the new building!

NICE START! I want to see what you do with that oh-so-LONG window on the ground floor, & the wood flooring IS excellent. It's a that WIP stage where it's hard to tell where it's going, which adds a certain excitement to the thing. Keep up the good work [or ELSE! ].

My only criticism is that imo it looks very "clean" for a city like Mordheim.

But that's only a matter of taste, and your building is great.
