PRETTY COOL STUFF! The Citadel mini makers can still turn out some VERY IMAGINATIVE thingys...when they escape the tyranny of the rules writers. Pricewise Citadel isn't far off the mark in comparison to quite a number of other folk...it's their paints & accessories that are horrendously over priced. Thanks for the post, Saul. Very nice miniatures indeed! Great for Mordheim. Kislev players have no longer problem with bear! Smile
Compared to new WHFB rulebook and other new things they are very cheap...

FINALLY!! I have been waiting for these minis for a long time! Good to see them released at last. This will be the first GW purchase in a looooong time.

EDIT: Ther Merchant & Scribe set is so perfect for the BTB Merchant Caravan it's spooky. These models are THE Merchant + Assistant models. Love them!

Metal minis are MUCH less expense to get into production than plastic; if GW is figuring the risks, it might be wiser to go with a metal mini than losing the production cost of plastic should sales be low...they get their production costs back with less minis sold. Citizens of the Empire Suspect

Although Al's reason is most likely the actual one it should also be pointed out that you just can't sell plastic minis as limited special figures. Metal is still the true material for many people and the only alternative would be resin, which would be too expensive, although it would hold the detail best. GW surely isn't expecting much from these figures in terms of sales and they are probably right. For me personally, I'd prefer plastic though as it is the easiest to convert and colour doesn't chip off as easily as on metal figures.

They are online purchase only I think.

For the rest of the world the GW website set to your location will help you:

UK prices:

Duellists £8.50
Merchant & Scribe £8.50
Regimental Mascot £10.50

US prices:

Duellists $14.00
Merchant & Scribe $14.00
Regimental Mascot $16.50
