| THIS IS A TEST...sort of! With a new albeit equally Demonically Possessed Camera of Continual Contrariness, I've taken some truly mediocre photos of the Expansion on The (original) Spooky Tree..close-ups will follow when I've figured out the macro thingy on the new Beasty: As always your...& I do mean you... comments & critiques are MOST WELCOME...mostly.

| That is excellent! Your flair for colour suits my taste perfectly, and just because it's so cartoony your work is always fun to see. Superb, deafnala! | |

| Cool stuff, I really like them! Looks like I would imagine Goblins on mushrooms would see a forest And good to know you got a working camera, hopefully, we'll see a lot more of your creations in the future | |

| Thanks MUCHO Guys for the kind words. Positive feedback is a motivating factor for moi...it would probably be a wise move on your part to avoid such niceties in the future. - JoaoS wrote:

Joao I'll give the tutorial a try. I've managed to take some close-ups, which I'll soon inflict upon the unwary; SO I should be able to take some W.I.P. pics with misleading descriptions. - Moffe wrote:

Did you sculpt the things yourself, or did you buy them? Very absurd and stuff Guilty as charged; i.e., I made all the stuff except for some Live Oak & Pecan pieces that God takes the credit for. The idea for the faces is to a large extent inspired by floedebolle's Chaos Tree. The next batch of photos should hit the Forum sometime after tonight's Braves' game. .. CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED!

| Wow deafnala, those shrooms are excellently painted, nice choice of colours too.Havent you posted pics of those trees before?! But i remember them more black and white, a work over?
Those faces are great, hooknose and the little piggy eyes, loveley. Again my friend, we have something in common, its called shroom mania, and as soon as i finished my warbands, i ´ll start straight away with some gaint mushrooms for the scenery, with some small doors in , and some mutaded worms comming out..........and so on.
Thumbs up al, regards, floedebolle _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! Bobby! Bob Parkhurst: [enters] My lord? Lord Flasheart: I want something. Bob Parkhurst: Take it! [she undoes her shirt - exeunt]

| Thanks, Ben! You entered your message just as I hit the send on the close-ups from HELL! I posted the prototype Spooky Tree in its primed-up black & white coat. That's probably what you're thing of. It's the only piece still in W.I.P. mode...figures. | |

| Great close ups. The faces are whimsical, yet subtly disturbing. Perfect for Mordheim.
Discussing color from photographs has always been problematic. Natural or aritficial light sources can influence how a color is reproduced in a variety of hard to predict ways. Drives me bats at work.

| The mushrooms are great, but the faces on the trees are oustanding! Looking at the group shot, you need to find models of Scooby and Shaggy running screaming from your Night Goblins! And Daphne. mmmmmm, Daphne | |

| Love the close-ups! The mushrooms look so weird, and the trees are goofy and devilish at the same time. | |

| This reminds me of Labyrinth. And that's a good thing!
So full of character, the faces on the trees are awesome man!

| Thanks again for the positive feedback, Guys! @qboid: someone does make Scoopy Doo minis, although they're just standing there...I rather liked Velma myself. These have been the most enjoyable pieces I've ever done. There's a couple different takes on what they remind Folks of; everything from The Witch's Woods in The Wizard of Oz to The Corpse Bride...I think Labyrinth is closest. At any rate I intend to carry on with the look & feel through most everything I'll be doing. SO if you like this stuff, keep an eye peeled for further updates. | |

| Thanks, JoaoS! Striking up a conversation with passing creatures/travelers is one of the pictures I come up with also...yet another instance of the Great Minds thingy. The place where I find myself living is in the middle of a grove of strangely twisted pecan trees & live oaks that provide me with modeling materials & inspiration...I'm waiting for one of the pecans to form a face & try to grub a smoke. | |

| I was off reminding playtable to take photographs, honest.
The FLOEDEBOLLE tree is a real treat! I love all the details you've included on the piece.
And Johann Ringo! Love it.

| Thanks, Jim...for the kind word & lighting a fire under Himself. The Ringo photo was an experiment to see if The Camera ( form HELL!) was up to doing the minis. While not a great photo, it may be good enough to do the backlog of painted minis I have to show off; there a couple hundred or so now...that's a pretty daunting prospect. | |

| What a great thread. I love the trees and mushrooms, the gaming table must be fantastic to see irl. I was thinking how surreal it was when I read how many others thought so, too. So much eye candy I'm going into a visual diabetic coma. You, sir, are an artiste. | |
