| Thanks, SerialMoM! Reality & I parted ways quite awhile ago... SO there is a certain NUTS factor to my stuff. Basically what I'm aiming to do is take all the things from gaming, modeling, movies, & anything else that I love, mixing them all together, & making them my own. | |

I afraid there is still a LONG ways to go on the Beasty. I've got eight buildings & some brewery equipment yet to do; then on to all the little embellishments that make it interesting...I'll keep you posted as things develop.

| Looks fantastic! Incredible creativity. How does it play for you so far? I am a bit curious if it plays a bit serial (i.e. there is only one path to get to a number of areas. If so, can you do anything to better bridge the different featues together? | |

| Thanks, Stone Troll...glad you liked it so far. The Beasty hasn't reached a playable stage yet. However, I had done something similar that worked out really well for a somewhat modified game. There will be four levels of walkways connecting the various structures. The way my Bar Wars game plays out the Heroes gain notoriety points for combat with higher point value for combats on higher elevations...if that makes any sense to you | |

| Inspired by floedebolle's OH-SO-COOL Chaos Tree, I made a variant of my own for the SPOOKY WOODS section of Maudeheim. If you like it, it's all floedebolle's faultr...otherwise, I'll take the blame. As always comments & critiques are MOST WELCOME...mostly.

| Love them! So much to comment on! The first picture really captures the spooky atmosphere of your project. Can we have a tutorial on how to make trees like those (faces included)? The water effects are also amazing! Did you use varnish to give that effect? Finally, I can really relate to that pile of GW blisters on the background! Joao | |

You'll have to wait for that...maybe a couple of years...it'll be very big...and until i'll have space enough...i can't start. Your trees are AWSOME! And the water too...If i'll ever come to texas i'll come to bother you...and see these beauties from real.

| Oh, there are tons more of your fantastic trees, love them. I now know what the faces on them reminds me off, the door knockers in bowies labyrinth, awesome faces! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! Bobby! Now that you mention it, there is a definite resemblance. I LOVE that movie, SO it could be some subconscious, subliminal thing or the effects of all that inhalation therapy from my misspent youth...whatever. - timplanet wrote:

I already have some water of my own I'm fairly happy with but that is incredible. How did you do it? It was a serendipitous series of errors. The original idea was to pour several layers of crack filler [dries a dark transparent blue] over a medium blue painted base coat. HOWEVER after the initial coat, we found that the crack filler wasn't locally available. SO Captain John poured three successively too thick layers of polyeurythane, which provided a cracked translucent coat. I then did a tinting wash of dark blue over the entire board & brushed on a half dozen coats of the eurythane. AND VIOLA...it turned out surprisingly well; proving God takes care of fools, drunks, & little children. There'll be a bit of a delay until the next update...my Demon Camera from Hell died. SO you'll have to wait until I either resurrect the Old Beasty or come up with the $s for a replacement. C'est la vie, eh?!

| Thanks, Pascal...glad you liked the stuff. The boxes in the background are Captain John's model railroad thingies; John was into heavily trains before I got him hooked on games with toy soldiers. Out of the photo to the right are two display cabinets; one contains about 1,000 minis I painted for Himself; the other has most of his 7,000 unpainted Napleonics...the Fantasy half of the Beast are scattered around the place with most occupying all of two large closets in my room. I've added some mushrooms with faces to the Spooky Wald. They're turning out relatively nicely...hopefully I'll get some photos up in the near future. | |
