Dwarf trader. I went with imperial look, but if needed in game it'll count as arabian merchant.
Merchant's bodyguard in "Oi! Come here and say that again!" -pose.
And finally Ogre bodyguard. I tried to achieve somewhat ragged but still pompous appearance like he's "been in business" for quite some time. Cool stuff! My favourites are trader and bodyguard, but the ogre is close to their level of refinement and sculpt quality. Your painting is so clean and precise - I feel like a hack compared to you. I will try to emulate some of your thoroughness in my own work.

| Thanks for commenting everyone. Myntokk: You have no idea how proud I was when idea of that conversion struck me. Honestly, I'm just happy to get that figure to use. One more photo from side to show how hammer fits in hand: - folketsfiende wrote:

Thank you folketsfiende. But I really think you are underrating your painting skills and overrating mine. I feel honoured if my mediocre painting can inspire anyone, personally I consider it slightly above tabletop level, at most. Anyway, I got myself a great bargain of mordheim undeads from ebay some while ago. They were too cheap to resist and suddenly I found myself with the start of a warband I never had thought to build. Wishing to make it completely metal warband like my dwarfs and since GW's zombies are both plastic and not best looking ones on the market, I got two good reasons to check out what other manufacturers had to offer. After some consideration I finally settled with Heresy miniatures' zombies and test painted first of them. First time painting dead flesh, and it turned out to be quite an experiment. I wanted to try something else than green zombies you usually see and went with purple instead. Well, not my best nor worst paintjob, but will probably give green a try with second model.

| Purplish zombies work well. I would perhaps brighten the skin a bit, and add some discolourations in other nuances, but it's looking good, as usual! | |

| Hi there! Wonderful minis and awesome painting skills! Superb! How exactly do you make your bases? Is the cobblestone-pattern printed and then glued to a blank base? I couldn't quite figure out, how you have done your bases, but I like the results very much. A short precise explanation would be great! Thanks in advance! Best regards, Squig | |

| Sorry for the late reply...the Purple Zombie looks TERRIFIC...considering his undead state. The flesh tone looks WONDERFULLY disturbing. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Thanks for the feedback guys. Really appreciate it. And better late than never, DeafNala. Squig: Bases are made from textured plasticard sheet. I just cut right sized piece, glue it on base, trim edges and paint it. Sheets are made by Slaters, and since their homepage has no photos this site comes handy: http://www.cheltenhammodelcentre.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=1095&cat=Textured+PlasticardThe one I'm using seems to be "SLATERS - 0421 - Random Stone Grey O/OO Textured Plasticard". Hope this was useful to you. | |

| Wow, thanks for the info, sianpää!
If each sheet is sized A4, then £2 is definitely a bargain!

| The sheets are indeed about A4 size, and really worth the price. Without them I'd probably just leave bases blank. Anyway, I guess it's time for an update! I've concentrated especially on hired swords lately. Great chance to paint figures different from each other without starting a new warband. Freelance knight: Wizard: Halfling cook, the original Mordheim one. At the same time both awesome and horrible to paint because of all the details! 2nd Halfling cook: And two dwarves: | |

| EXCELLENT additions to your FINE array of minis. Your wood effects are TERRIFIC. The second Halfing Cook & the bottom Dwarven Psycho are tied for favorites in this new batch. WONDERFULLY WELL DONE! | |

| Thanks guys! Really appreciate your comments. Dwarven psycho is originally a chaos dwarf figure, and that shows I guess. But I really like the model and no matter how chaotic looking, I had to get it in my warband. | |
