| Hehehe - they are one of the Experimental warbands on the Mordheimer site. Richard got a Wood Elf army for Christmas, so we couldn't really say no! | |

Very true Tim! The Serpent-Dragon of Twilight comes to the West The Gloomwyrms and the Bell, Bokk and CandleNight of the Living BretonniansAs darkness started to fall on the fourth day the Gloomwyrms happened upon a band of Bretonnian sleepless Peasants and their red eyed Knightly masters. The Orc Pirates thought it wise to charge in recklessly, in the hope of overwhelming the onion-munchers. It was not. ± "Who damed silly idea was that? Eh?" raged Xan-di as he bound up his leg. "This probably never heal now. Look at it! I not going to be as quick on feet as once was!" Yu-dan scowled at him from under his grubby bandages. "And Yu-dan's face never going to look right, not that it look all that normal before mind, and he's always smell a bit fishy. He always wear silly hat too." continued the outraged but easily distracted Xan-di. ±

- I had a narrow escape at Unlucky Quay this afternoon when the cave orcs quite literally ran into their greenskin rivals the Gloomwyrms, almost trapping me between them! But fear not, dear reader, I escaped unharmed. As, remarkably, did Uhg-ug-ugg's thugs, who have now taken control of the area. In fact one of the lesser cave orcs appears to have gained some status in the group after defeating the oriental orcs' leader. Furthermore, the warband has been joined by an ogre who, judging by her attire, appears to be a female. Quite why she has chosen to attach herself to these beasts is beyond me as they appear to be offering her neither food nor gold, but then I am no student of ogre psychology.

| More bad poetry. I'm so sorry. So our farmers, all naked and covered in blood, Found themselves to be lost, in a rather deep wood, The branches they seemed, to have unholy life, With twigs and roots, as sharp as a knife,
Strange sounds seemed to come, from the darkness all around, And there were flitting shapes, and hellish creatures abound, The path that our farmers trod, was invisible to the eyes, And when they rounded a corner, they got quite a surprise,
Standing there in a glade, the farmers they spied, The man who had led them, the man who had died, And from the way that he looked, they came to the summation, That he had sold his soul, to the gods of damnation,
No longer was he human, with a big bushy beard, Now he was goat-like, and terribly weird, He had horns and thistles, sprouting from his brow, And his voice sounded guttural, like that of a cow,
'Hello, my old friends', he said rather unclearly, 'You have borne witness to something, that happens only once yearly', These farmers wanted to kill him, to end his insanity, But there was something in his eyes, some vestige of humanity,
'What has become of you' said one, his lip fiercely quivering, 'I am your saviour' said the beast, 'and your souls I shall be delivering', 'For when I lay dying that day, and my blood began to glisten', 'I prayed to whatever, and whoever would listen',
'And someone did answer, but someone I'd never have expected', 'But life is life, and so I defected', 'You see I'm a heretic now, and I'm not that good looking', 'I'm a beastman it seems, and human flesh is what I'll be cooking,
'So join me' said our once noble hero, and he held up his claw, And muttered some hideous words, from that horrible maw, And our farmers they fell, and to the dark gods they placated, And begged that their bodies, be wracked and mutated,

- The cave orcs took the fight to the circus today with an all-out assault on The Barrel O'Monkeys. Most of Pappa Jingle's troupe appeared to be away on a public relations exercise following their recent fraud accusations, so the greenskins (despite their in-fighting) gained the upper hand. Their success was mainly thanks to the bizzare appearance of the female ogre known as Granny Faddock. As I have noted, I am no expert on ogre behaviour, but I have come to the conclusion that she attached herself to Uhg-ug-ugg's tribe as part of an elaborate romantic plan: During the fight, all her attention seemed to be focused on the Circus's own ogre, Spud, and after they had both recovered from their wounds, rumour has it they were seen together... But I have no time for studying ogres as well as these fascinating cave orcs!
Warband update after beating Dazza and stealing his bonus territory by a measley 1 point thanks to Granny Faddock's brief appearance! :

| [quote=Dazza]“Écoutez gentlemen écoutez! Le talent shall be going on a team building excursion for le week so there won’t be any full production performances for une petite while. Cependant! I have decided to employ a new juggling act for un temporary contract whilst le performers are away. Drum Roll s'il vous plait!….May I introduce to you Heegle MacFeegle and Spud!! Okay now let us go build up some publicity, ‘Le Barrel of Monkeys’ will be a good place to begin." With the Circus down to nearly half its usual size papa Jingle sets off to do some canvasing with his new juggling act During Spud's club and axe tossing routine he spots a familiar face in the crowd, a vision of such beauty no man or ogre could resist her charms. "Granny?" whispered spud " could it really be?" Memories of hand-held walks on blossomy spring days and cosy winter evenings flooded his mind, butterflies filled his stomach as the lumbering oaf strode of in the direction of the love he once lost. Papa Jingle enquired to whom this angel was as the two former lovers met The pair embraced then granny produced her rolling pin before knocking Spud unconscious his face a picture of bliss as he was dragged off. The couple needed their privacy. With the ogre distracted some rather rural looking orc's mugged the remaining members of the circus with Heegle MacFeegle seemingly being their main focus of their interests Papa Jingle dusted himself off after the fracas. He'd little coin left and with his performers away, there was no way he could earn more. He didn't care though and sighed with a smile, witnessing the reunion. Truly Vercuso is the city of romance | |

- The cave orcs have been fighting again. First they came across a band of strange knights with glowing swords at The Bucaneer’s Blade Inn. The knights were seen off when the greenskins brutally murdered their leader. The savages’ next victims were beastmen, hardly more civilized than themselves. I suspect the chaos-spawned beasts could have proved a real threat to Uhg-ug-ugg (who was knocked out in the fighting) but the cave orcs caught them by surprise and started picking them off one by one at The Barrel of Monkeys. However, the cave orcs had spread themselves too thin and the beastmen have now taken control of that part of town.
During the fight against the knights, the semi-dominant orc known as Uhg-uhg was killed by a squire. After the fight I witnessed a most alarming ritual: Thinking himself unobserved (I, of course, was well hidden), a newly-arrived cave orc mutilated Uhg-uhg’s corpse in order to extract his tiny brain which he then ate! This newcomer has now assumed Uhg-uhg’s position in the warband, even to the point of taking on his name! (I wonder now if a similar fate befell the first orc known as Oooohg, and my fear of a rival scholar is unfounded?) Warband update after beating Adam and then Andy tonight. Lost a big-un to Adam (was able to buy a new one) in exchange for killing his leader dead. : Granny Faddock returned after the game against Andy thanks to another ‘returning a favour’ result courtesy of the Binnacle Yard!

Roll up roll up, for the circus was in town, And our lovely farmers, decided to take them down, They wanted flesh, from these odd looking entertainers, They wanted to gobble up the clowns, the jugglers and their retainers,
So they stalked them like hunters, through the mud and the mire, And waited till they'd walked for miles, and had begun to tire, And then they attacked, all fury and hate, And went straight for the kill, they had appetites to sate,
There was chopping and slashing, and some people died, Some tried to fight, and others they died, The only real threat to our farmers, was a big circus flunky, Who was swiftly attacked, by his own little monkey,
It clawed at his face, and quite a ruckus did it create, Until he splattered it flat, with his half ton weight, Our farmers they laughed, from their mutated jaws, And thought how that must go against, animal conservation laws,
