- I meant the actual lamp cast itself, I saw your mini-tut of the brackets... since the mould tutorial showed the pieces with a flat back, I was curious how the lamp was set when making the mould to keep the cylindrical shape and cone top.
I see what you mean. It is cast upright, the bottom of the lantern is the flat surface I use for casting. - Quote :
- The paint is certainly bringing it to life! Very clean and precise, as are all of your builds. Very nice style. I imagine it would be a nightmare to do.
Looking forward to seeing it finished up with a bit of weathering and highlighting. Right now the the pics make the wood look a bit plastic or something It's not that bad, but I'm not particularly enjoying it... But the result is definately worth it! - Quote :
- Looking great, i really enjoy to watch your city growing!!!
I have ordered some Table Top World buildings myself. Only need to find some good addons, like those lanterns and beds, closeths etc... Thanks! You could hit me with a pm... Thanks for the feedback... Got some more painting to do, see you soon with another update!

| Tiny update... On Warseer someone suggested colouring the shields, the result can be seen on the pic below... I just had to try it... Red and yellow, easy as that! Simple paintjob, two shades of yellow, two shades of red, a bit of Boltgun Metal and a quick wash with Devlan Mud... Your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think. | |

| It DOES add a nice little splash of color. Ostermark's colors are purple & gold (yellow), but there's no reason why not to use any colors that strike your fancy; they could represent the owner's/merchant's national or family colors. You could even carry the color scheme through on the house eaves, doors, shutters, whatever. | |

| I knew it.. Purple and yellow, I know these were the colours used in Battlemarch for the Ostermark army... According to "Uniforms and Heraldry of the Empire" it's red and yellow. Ah, well... Tiny fidgety update... Two plaster shields and a bit of plastic bits... Made to complement the lanterns. The shield can move as the rings aren't glued... The start of mass production... Finished building with added small parts... Your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think. | |

| which technique are you using to texturize your walls? The devian mud wash looks great on that picture, later on it would be nice if you could show us a picture with some day light (as it seams you took that one with some yellowish light or regular incandecent bulb)
Your Scenery is completely awesome.

| Looks astounding (as always)!
I believe it was the 5th ed. Empire army book that said that Ostermark's colours varied considerably since purple dye is both expensive and difficult to work with - anything ranging from a wine colour to a deep, royal purple could be seen within the same regiment. Because of this, I'd say keep your red sign in the mix and change up the purples from time to time on future ones.
I actually love the fact that Mordheim is in Ostermark - purple and yellow are favourites of mine!
Oh, and it is very nice to see more painting in this log.

Thanks! I use textured paint on the walls, not fun, but great results nonetheless... Here's a pic by daylight... Please note the wall isn't done yet, it needs at least one highlight and a wash of Devlan Mud. - Quote :

Even my wife says so, so there's nothing else I can do but keep on painting... Got a bucketload of pics for you as I set up the board for a skirmish tonight and did some painting and construction... Reinforced door... One of my buildings is going to get promoted to guardstation. Quite a construction as the door is made of separate pieces of balsa rather than a single sheet... Finished wall sections! Five sections should be enough for now... Another picture of the pip. Not done yet but I like where it's going... I already put on a few lanters. And a few pics of the setup for tonight... The board feels really crowded (which is a good thing) and I don't think I'll be adding any new structures soon. Damn, even I have to admit I have to paint more... Updated belltower. I added a huge balcony (obviously)... Another updated structure. This one is updated beyond recognition, I added multiple balcnies and a whole new storey... Overview of the board... More updates coming soon! Currently I'm finishing the structured paint on the belltower so there's a good chance it will see some paint before the end of the week... Your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think.

| I know I have said it before, but I love your style and method of making buildings. The size of some of those buildings look huge from the pictures, I take it you dont have much storage issues? | |

| Coolness! So many great little improvements as you go! The new wall sections are sweet. I would be very worried about these fine details getting broken during games. Better get those shirt sleeves rolled up... It was very wise to make this on a rolling table, by the way. NOW PAINT, DAMN YOUUUUU! | |

| That is so crazy. It looks difficult to play an actual game on. I refer to this thread for inspiration for buildings, but I think mine will not be as epic. | |

Man...You're the of scenery making... NOW...I have to do something like that on my dwarven hold to leave my friends breathless (al you left me seeing your works) Don't tell anyone yet, but I am also planning on building Dwarf themed scenery for my main table as I have quite a substantial Dwarf army... - Quote :

It's actually quite easy to play on the board... The buildings are far enough apart so you can reach between them. Moreover, there is space enough to move around the table as you wish. - Quote :

Readying the table for a game is a great excuse to put everything together, furthermore it's also a great stimulus! As for another update... No buildings but the start of a new warband! Witch Hunter Captain I have yet to think of a name for him, but I like his grim visage... You don't want this man to doubt your piety! Warrior Priest Inspired by some of the great conversions around here on the forum... Heavily armoured and wielding a big-ass hammer, just the way a Warrior Priest of Sigmar should be. Both models were made using plastic parts from a variety of kits, old and new, Fantasy and 40K. They both need a bit of detailing, adding pouches, extra weapons and stuff... Your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think.

| Are those one inch stone tiles as bases. I just picked up a one square foot section of one inch tiles at a big box store to use as bases, but I haven't tried it out yet. 144 tiles for $5.00. What a bargain! Real stone in many different varieties (sand stone, marble, jade, ect.) | |

| Finally another update! It's been quite busy lately, partly due to work related activities and for the rest I can blame a friend of mine... That scoundrel introduced me to Flames of War, poor me... A bit off-topic, but I guess some of you might even find this interesting... About a month ago I purchased some US paratroopers from Tagnator. Smooth trade and some nice models! The results so far... Almost a full platoon finished! And now for some Mordheim! Added a little detail to the walls... Small skulls coming from a flagpole and cut in half. I am going to add those to the other walls, too... They still need some paint. And also got some pictures of another building after/during update... Frontview... Rearview... Topview... I am really pleased with all the added playing surface. Close-up of an adapted roof section. For the purpose of comparison I have included an older picture from before the update below... As you can see I've changed quite a lot! Walls, balcony and roof... Still need to add shutters and doors. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please let me know what you think
