| OK, last Tortuga building. You can see shots of it in the last Sartosa battle report. I've decided this is the NCO building. Half will be a bar and half will be a gameing room. Here are some "WIP" photos. Here is the basic floor plan from the back. A close up of what's to be the upstairs front porch. I positioned it so the balsa wood decking will be flush with the upstairs flooring. To be the upstairs. The open roof top. The 3 parts assembled, still looking at the back. The downstairs wooden support beams I later removed. They looked OK but were not needed for support and took too much room for moving models around and the inside furniture I planned. Well, that's all the "WIP" pictures I took.</A></A> | |

| VERY NICELY DONE! After doing SO MANY ruined Mordheimy buildings, intact structures come as a refreshing shock. | |

| Even in Mordheim not all buildings were damaged or destroyed. Besides, there are enough windows and doors to run through. | |

Besides, there are enough windows and doors to run through. VERY TRUE! Most of the stuff I've made for other games are intact structures...I've just gotten accustomed to doing the ruins over the last few years.

| OK, so it's the last one I've done and I haven't started anything new yet. I did get my Space Hulk genestealers painted and have the marines 1/2 done. Then there is this Lustria campaign we're going to start next week and I need to do some work for terrain for it. I will post the finished pictures of the NCO Club as soon as I get more time. | |

| OK, here goes. My last Tortuga building, for now. The NCO Club is really 2 establishments in one. First is the Angry Squig bar and then the Trophy Room game room. Here's the front. The front, no roof. The front, no 2nd story. The front, no top at all. The right side. The back. The left side. More front. The door to the Angry Squig. The door to the Trophy Room. The interior of the upstairs room. The Angry Squig. </A> The Trophy Room game room. And of course, window shots. That's all.</A> | |

| It´s just me, or the last atmospheric pictures inspire you too to make a lot of house rules about bar brawls and drunk fighters...?? Beautiful work, it´s just Mordheim in a new and completely different enviroment. | |

| Sorry I have to post my compliments too. This is such a nice set. So much atmosphere and so cleanly executed. I wish I could mail you a ship and some Palm trees to go with it. Respect, for the Pirate king! Thank you superscenic. | |

| Thank you all. But, I feel, things are too clean. I have a hard time making things dirty, crooked, or random. I've also been reminded that I'm not done and need to start on some more buildings soon. | |

I used to "scenic" lots of movie sets and architecture models. Firstly, I like the clean look, but if you want dirty: try diluted raw umber washes (I don't know GW colour equivalents). Secondly, and this will sound crazy, but the best way to get dirt effects is to take actual dirt and rub it onto a surface using some cotton-wool balls. Oxides and powders can be too much colour (dark) sometimes. Try going out into your garden, get some soil then rub it onto a surface you base coated with that stucco colour of yours. If you look at references, you will see dirt naturally accumulates where people walk, touch and along the bottom of walls. Thus around door and window frames, up to chest height, where people walk most often (center of stairs/passages halfway up pillars and posts and tops of balustrades. Where things burn there will be soot going upwards. - Von Kurst wrote:

Maybe in the Governor's Mansion? Nudge. I vote for navigational charts, maps(search some old ones online) with little ship/settlement models and measuring equipment. thank you superscenic
