Congratulations! All these little details - the rubble, the grass, the hedge, add a lot to it. The hedge is especially nice. Did you do that one yourself or can this be bought like that?

OUTSTANDING! That really turned out WONDERFULLY. Your attention to detail & brushwork made the BEAUTIFULLY crafted creation a centerpiece. VERY WELL DONE!

Grimscull: the hedge is small bunches of broom bristles with Superleaf flock. It didn't turn out quite as I had hoped but the end result was still pleasing.

That looks fantastic. I'm a big fan of the Warlord Buildings and use a lot of them for my own Mordheim table. I really like the size and layout of your building. It would be great to see a shot of it from above.

Thank you. It might have been one of your AAR's that inspired me to try them. There is a shot from above (pic 6) on my blog.

Working on another scratchbuilt building using some Blood on The Streets plastic doors and windows and Firedragon Games foam and metal windows. It will join to a second building across the walkway. Currently in the priming stage.

The span may not be ... realistic. I may add supports. I have some loose stone blocks that I could build little butresses with for them to rest on as a beam going into a stone wall might look a little odd.

Looks great so far. very nice combination of scratchbuilding and bits for the details.

Thanks Azmodan. Once the current combined buildings are done it should make a big difference. I am really getting into the painting and weathering of the building I posted WIP shots of above; very happy with the results so far... but now I have to go cut the lawn.

This is a pretty spectacular project. Especially to those of us making do with cardcraft and spray paint! You might not have enough to pack a 4'x4' board yet, but when this is the quality of it I'd say don't risk it by rushing.

Thank you Rhydderch. If I am honest, I probably enjoy making scenery  the most- it is actually what attracted me to The Hobby in the first place.

The building is done and just awaiting a base (to be done once the second building is completed).

That does look SPLENDID. Your creation is BEAUTIFULLY crafted & painted...the subdued palette works well with the piece. VERY WELL DONE!

Oooo... Pretty.... Second the praise of the paint job, & I really like the high-contrast interior. Mordheim needn't be all doom & gloom -- it can be doom & bright colours.

Thanks guys! The interior is probably a little too intense bit I got carried away while painting it. I can justify it by saying "it's a fantasy world!"

The second section of the above building is now ready for paint. It seemed to take a lot longer to put together than the last one- not sure why.


At the request of someone on another forum I am putting together a step-by-step for my blog once this building is completely finished. More pictures on my blog.
