So, my first post on this boring, yet hallowed forum… Here goes…
This one was my first real Mordheim project, and one of my first scenery projects any way. It was inspired by the GW scenery showcased in the Mordheim rulebook. That style of scenery making suited me very well, and the influence of it can be seen throughout the rest of my Mordheim scenery.
If anything I am a VERY slow contractor, so it took me several months to complete this project. It’s made from thick grey cardboard and balsa, still my favourite construction materials. For the walls I used ready-made structured paint from a DIY-store. The façade and roof of the workshop are strips of balsa.
As it’s over 10 (!) years old already, some battle damage can be seen, even though I’ve done some repairs to the wood and paintwork from time to time. Some people have commented on how “clean” this ruin looks, but hey, it’s wargaming scenery! It should have lots of room for miniatures and manoeuvring.
Even after all these years I still like this piece… It has a sentimental value to me, so please be kind with your verdict!
