| Looks great. I don't think you've overdone the moss at all -- I've seen much worse in regular woods, let alone among the warpstone-accelerated moss of Mordheim. | |

| Thats a pretty nice table. I really like the colour touch of natural brown and the grass colour!!! There's some life in kodstickerburg. Is the table still growing? | |

Well... funny you should ask. Although it has been sitting idle for quite a while now, I built another building for the table as part of the Lead Adventure Forum's Build Something Contest 2020 which ends tomorrow. The build thread is here but I cannot post pictures of the finished building until the contest is over (contest rules). I will update this thread with a bunch once the judging is over.

| Woooow. This is a stunning piece of scenerey!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing. Very inspiring, to do something that realisitc and detailed!!!! The colours are really matching!!!!!! The green gives a really nice finishing!!!I have some questions to ur magnificent piece!!!:
What kind of paints do u use? A certain pallet? Like Vallejo Model-colour? Thats what i suggest. How do u do the waterstains? Like just painted with a wash? And how did u prime? I struggeling with the layers of prime and basecoat, just smearing over all the details. Seems like u have a very thin layer of colour, but a strong intensity, getting rid of the blue-foam blue. Did u primed the balsawood or just gave a slight wash?
Sorry for all the questions. But its a masterpiece!!!!!!!!

| Thank you gentlemen, your kind remarks are appreciated. - PJB wrote:
What kind of paints do u use? A certain pallet? I actually use a wide range of paints. I always start with a grey primer; in this case a light grey spray primer for the second storey (masking off the daub which came perfectly coloured already) and dark grey brush on primer for the ground floor. The stone work was painted mostly with Ceramcoat craft paint. I would sponge on 3 different colours: charcoal, shale green, and pebble. Then pick out many of the stone with heavily thinned versions of each of those colours, that way the sponging comes through. I also lined the mortar with shale green or sometimes a light buff just for some natural tonal difference. The wood I painted streaks on using Vallejo Dark Stone (I think) and a few lighter streaks with Coat D'Arms Roan (very similar to GW pallid flesh), leaving about a third of the original primer coat exposed; followed by a wash with Agrax Earthshade. I used appropriate GW washes for the stains. I make good use of Liquitex Flow Enhancer when I am thinning paints or washes (10:1 water to product). I've been keeping an eye out for a nice grey stain whenever I am at the DIY store because I think that might be the way to go for weathered wood but I haven't seen one yet that I think is quite right. | Great stuff! Your terrain isn't just really nicely built, but beautifully painted as well. Making pieces with mostly pretty muted colours look finished is an art, and some of your pieces look almost photorealistic! Theo
