| I like your trees- is that florists wire you are using for the structure? | |

| Thanks, Codsticker! I use a variety of floral wires. The trunk, roots, & heavier branches are the raffia wrapped type from Naturally Wired. | |

| I have to say, I do like your work. It's very different from anything I've thought of doing, but still with great character. Spooky, creepy, sometimes funny in a crazed laughter of the mad sort of way... Very much your own, I think. | |

Thanks, Grim. I am happy you like it. I think it's the twisted shape of the tress that give it the spooky look I was hoping for. - Rhydderch wrote:

Thanks for the reply, Rhydderch. I am glad you enjoy the stuff. I just draw my inspiration from an odd mix of things I love with a touch of my own imagination. It is admittedly a strange mix. | |

| Yesterday was an unfocused affair. This is how things looked at the end of the day: ...on the Spooky Woods Board, I got the tree roots for the background trees & some groundwork done: ...a few Mushrooms were made. These will be featured on a base for a Wyrd mini, Ano No Zako: ...this is Herself. I believe Amo No Zako translates as SCARY Old Crazy Lady: ... AND the excess green stuff = more Faces: ...that's how the day went. Being unfocused can be productive as well as fun. Some regular-tough-large mushroom were also made; you can see them to the left in the top photos. | |

| I made some small progress with the Spooky Woods Stage. The clay work is done on the background tress. The upper branches will get the teased out hot glue treatment & some foliage...probably: ...from the Mushroom Forest, I got the idea that the foreground pieces should go to either side to limit the view & frame the miniatures: ...I rarely learn from other Folk's mistakes, but I'm a champ at learning from my own blunders. | |

| ...tomorrow. The background trees are primed & ready for some paint. Detailing is a probable...it's my getting-carried-away-with-things nature. ...with the foreground trees: ...I'm thinking of doing the sunken brick road in yellow. More later..."later" being a nebulous concept. | |

| I like the bark texture on those trees; what kind of clay did you use? | |

| Thanks, Codsticker. The background trees are done with Premier/Primiere air dry clay. The foreground tree on the left is done with Das. They both work nicely. The Premier seems to dry a little quicker, but that might be due to the package being open for awhile. | |
