| Hello and welcome to the very first HALL OF FAMEon TBMF! Here you will find all the entries from Tom's Boring Mordheim Competition #1 and the immortalised winners of the Golden Tom award 2008. Congratulations to the three winners of this competition and a HUGE THANK YOU to all the participants for their hard work. It wouldn't have been possible if every single one of you hadn't done his very best. It was very difficult to choose the top 3 amongst so many great submissions - the need for a Knock-Out Round speaks for itslef - but nevertheless is was an immense pleasure and privilege to host such an exciting competition. My very special thanks also go out to the fantastic members of the jury who have supported me and the project with great enthusiasm and allowed me to bug them with continuous streams of emails. Without further ado, please allow me to proudly present the winners! The Knock-Out round was used to solve a tie for 1st position. All judges were asked to vote again, for either one of two entries. "X" marks one vote. The entry with most votes wins the KO round and the other one automatically takes silver. - Spoiler:

| Yeah!! I bow to footofadhesivetape for a well-deserved win! His mystical greenish shining book is indeed totally awesome. Great job, man! Also many kudos to UnderBheit! That Magister is just outstanding. The way you brought the dark blood spell to life is sooo great! Finally, many congrats and thanks to the other entrants! Those are some truly inspirational miniatures! I'd like to thank the academy, my parents, God... ha ha, screw that tihs! Thank you, Tom, and the judges for holding this exciting, motivating contest. I look forward to future competitions! Lastly (finally), I have posted a Making Of about my miniature with some more pictures on my Blog at http://cianty-tabletop.blogspot.com/2008/09/making-of-dragon-monk-on-temple-dog.htmlFeel free to have a look and leave me a comment there. PS: That icon is damn cool! Great job!

I've been dying to see all these models, just goes to prove that Mordheim isn't dead and people are still making/painting awesome stuff.
Thanks for the competition Tom. When's the next one? :p

| Congrats and thanks to all who participated!
There were several models that really spoke to me in this comp (not literally - I havent racked up that many insanity points yet) and that I thought were really nice.
Skavenblight's Marianna Cheveaux -I believe this was a very well handled miniature paintjob, the fabrics are very nice and the colour contrasts are dramatic. I think the scheme fits this swashbuckiling model well. My favorite paintjob in the comp for the way the fabrics were handled and the colour contrasts
Footofadhesivetape's Necromancer - This piece has the most incredible theme and atmosphere of all the pieces in the comp. Having done source lighting myself I know this is a great technical challenge piece as well. I personally would have like to have seen more done with muted tones through the rest of the body - though for the sake of increasing the drama the way it has been done was excellent - a very deeserving winner indeed!.
Underbheit's Posessed magister - I like the smooth paint style, the colour contrasts and depth of the red hues. It is also a well themed mini evoking Khornate iconography and colours. Great paintjob + great conversion/modelling = Kick @$$ = win
Underbheit's Necromancer - the sword is great and the model interesting - It screams necromancer, has a great face and is just generally cool
Again well done to all winners and participants! I look forward to the next contest (i might even get off my lazy butt and do something for it !!!!

| OMG!!!1!11!!1shift!! I walked the dog today, and when I got back at my door, a person gave me a package. when I got in and opened it, I found a Beautifuly painted mini, wrapped in (A LOT) of bubble plastic. A magister casting Dark Blood, of which I can't believe it didn't take the first prize! (IT LOOKS SOOOO GOOD irl, even better then on the pics!)
Thanks A LOT for this AWESOME mini Underbeith!
Translation for those who may have missed the last episode: Matt is happy because Underbheit sent his (bronze) entry to Matt as a present, and Matt just got the parcel today. -- Admin Tom _________________ ..and by a roll of the dice you go under..
