The Gangs of Maudeheim, Part I 01/06/19

I'm in the midst of a relatively productive spell...painting-wise that is; SO the Blessed Knights of the Gooey Death & their Mercenary Minions have received some long overdue attention. Here are some TRULY mediocre photos of the Lads & Lady thus far:

The minis look wonderful when one can see them. I don't suppose the witch has appeared before? She reminds me of The Ancient One, always appearing as a shadow...

Thanks, Jim...glad you like them. I really am pleased with how they turned out. The first two photos are pretty decent & gave moi hope for the shoot, but all the others are dark & slightly blurry...very disappointing. I give them another try sometime soon.

Oh BABY! I really like your work on the Landskneckts be they human, dwarf or halfling. Very inspiring. Where is the witch model from? And the marching band? (You may have said earlier, but I've slept since then.)

...well actually, he didn't go anywhere; i.e., the model was finished several years ago. He had his base remove for inclusion on the Spooky Woods Board. That didn't happen. SO he sat, looking forlorn for years awaiting a new base...it was noticed that pieces stored in proximity to him seemed to disappear. Be that as it may, I finally gave him a new base, did some touch ups, & took some less than wonderful photos of him. Since he is more of a character than a terrain piece I've stuck him here with the Gangs:

Make yourself comfortable; re, this might take awhile to get through. Having just now...now meaning before I took the photos & went through the LONG & LABORIOUS uploading rigormaroll...finished the last of the Pistoleers, I thought an update was in order. In addition to the Dashing Pony Guys I took a new set of photos of the Mercenary Dwarven Rogues, Wizard, & his Froggy Friend; i.e., a second try at some of the poorer photos.

Are the bases sculpted? I really like the stone effect, I wonder if the same technique could be used for cobblestones?!

Thanks for the reply, Dougie...glad you like them. The bases are sculpted out of plumber's epoxy putty, which is very similar to Milliput...it just dries quicker.

As WONDERFUL as the miniature are & as enjoyable as they were to paint, it is a GLORIOUS feeling of release having them done.  

Wonderful! The lads look smashing. OR like they could smash something.
