man, all this stuff is so cool. Makes me want to build some inquisimunda style stuff. Great conversions and brush work.

It's been a while since I have had anything to add to this thread, but I have just started working on some "NPC" characters for our Inq28 games.

Not a massively complex conversion - just a Datasmith with a Skitarii head and some books added (from Empire Flagellant and Grey Knight kits).

That is a WONDERFULLY cluttered miniature...love paraphernalia. Have FUN with the painting et al. 

Hagel, the Librarian of Tchi'thams Library is an Adeptus Mechanicus Datasmith. Ancient and wise, he is still a force to be reckoned with as his mechanical replacement parts have been well looked after and frequently replaced. He is rarely seen beyond the Library walls, and even on those occasions he generally keeps to the surrounding districts of Mancunius Dome - Victory Station, Hanging-Ditch Abbey and The Shambles.

He ticks and whirs and in conversation he seldom seems like he is paying full attention. He often drifts away in thought for minutes at a time, sometimes mid-sentence, only to continue as if there has not been a pause. In these moments he is lost in an internal index search or cross-referenced cataloguing - the work of the librarian continues even when he is not at his desk or wondering the shadowy bookshelf-lined halls.

That moment when you notice the things you forgot to paint but only after publishing "finished" photos on Twitter! (Symbols on scrolls, wash on crux, skull highlight on tilt shield.)

There are some mean mouldlines on the canister-backpack but other than that, one more cool addition to your warband. Looks great in the group shot!

COOL STUFF! I love the group portraits. GREAT WORK!  

I'm making a new version of my Necromunda Gang Leader, to better fit in with lenk and his retinue. (I was never 100% happy with the old version if I'm honest.)

Bull Lansen is the master of the Sumptreader (a small tramp steamer that plies the “waters” of the Sump Sea) and an experienced ganger from a few years ago. He took over the steamer when his father died and has not spent more than a month ashore in one stretch since. The crew was ashore to get sufficient funds to make much-needed repairs when Inquisitor Lenk recruited them for their local knowledge.

The Surveyor: Hestor Varin, archeotech prospector in the depths of the Mancunius Dome underhive. He works as part of a small team of archeotech hunters, alongside The Miner, The Assessor and The Transporter.









There is greenstuff work to be done to fill in gaps. I'm going to Switzerland tomorrow for 8 days, so there is no chance that I will get any greenstuff paint on him before the end of the month but I will make it a priority when I get back!

I've been away on holiday for the last week so I haven't yet started painting Varin but I have still been spending a lot of time thinking about my Inq28 projects!

Inspired by dice THISTLE (AKA The John Blanche) uses in Inquisimunda games (see http://s3.zetaboards.com/The_Ammobunker/single/?p=8347961&t=7826598 ) I have put this set together:



The newest is from the 80s, the oldest belonged to my mum's mum, pre-war.

Inspired by the scenery produced by Shibboleth, Starfarer and a few others on the Ammo Bunker I dug out my WH40K/Necromunda scenery to update it with a few layers of underhive filth, corrosion and grime.

LOOKIN' SEEDY! Seedy in the case of Underhive translates as EXCELLENT. The rust is a very atmospheric touch. GREAT WORK!  

Very atmospheric stuff. Makes me wonder how it looked before the update...

I've updated another building with added grime:

He carries an array of sensors, scanners and detectors and wears a heavy rad-cape that he has hand painted warding runes on to try to increase the protection it affords.

The Quasiscientist is a COOL & WONDERFULLY cluttered creation. GREAT WORK!  

More members of the archeotech prospectors group. I see this team as NPCs rather than main characters, so they will either feature in scenarios or just wander around in the background while a fight is going on.

I have replaced the heavy weapon with the servo-skull from the kit. I was planning a more extensive conversion but none of the bits I have available are anywhere near as good as the parts that come with this gorgeous model!



I didn't want to keep the axe as it is too distinctive as the Adeptus Mechanicus badge-of-office, so I cut it down to look like some kind of arcane scanning device.

I also won a box of Sector Imperialis spares, and a complete Promethium Relay Pipes set, on eBay for a lot less than the retail price of the pipes! This adds to my reasonable bits-box of scenery components and means the next few buildings I plan to make for the Mancunius Dome are going to be much more interesting!

UBERCOOL STUFF! The Assessor is a particularly sinister looking Fellow. Have FUN with the painting & such!

The Assessor - Tyloc Greften Haug.
An Adeptus Mechanicus Reclaimator, who is driven to unearth ancient technology and has assembled a small team to help him.
Haug examines anything the surveyor and miner find with scanners, magnifiers, and arcane measures, decides whether it is worth loading them into the transporter to take back and sell to Guilders in town.
