MODheim Warbands

The Fish Fellows look FANTASTIC...I love alliteration. I think these may be the FINEST paint jobs you've come up with to date. VERY WELL DONE!

Managed to paint Gerhardt Lowenherz, Militia Sgt for the Wargame Weaver Vampire hunters campaign, one more NPC character to model up (parts for which are on the way) and then 2 guys to paint .

That partisan may be a bit of overkill in the stake department, although death from a distance sounds advisable against Vampires. The Lad is LOOKIN' GOOD!

First I was like: okay, one painted up state trooper... but on second glance I saw that the coat was from the Free Company whyle the rest wasn't. I read you made the armour on the legs yourself, but woud you mind telling me what other parts are in there? Is the armour on the torso GS?

I appear to have missed some updates that only got posted on my blog so here they are:

Loads and loads of cool stuff, all really well painted! Prolific, to say the least.

Ok I know this will probably be obvious to most but... Where did you get the kneeling guys legs?
I wanted one for one of my warbands and as I'm not the best with green stuff I converted over some standing legs with cut and then sculpting (and pinning). Looks ok but not great.

@ Kneeling legs: I think I can answer that: Imperial Guard!

Yep Imperial guard kneelingl legs from heavy weapon teams AND the command set.

I should point out though that my project is scaled to 30-32mm so I can use Privateer press and reaper miniatures (which tend to be on the larger side) so you may find them too big.

One of them ones in my last post is from the Empire Hunstmen set though and they should be fine for 28mm figs.

Started on the sisters of sigmar warband, I need to convert some of the remaining sisters into Superiors and convert an Auger out of some model....

The Holy Babes look TERRIFIC! You came up with a GREAT choice of colors & some FINE brushwork. VERY WELL DONE!

I do like the Mantic Zombies, easy to assemble, easy to paint and very effective.

The Living Impaired Lads do look good...all things considered. The mass effect is OUTSTANDING. VERY WELL DONE!

They do look great. Much better proportions than the GW ones and excellent poses too.

Good news they're easy to assemble. I might get some of those for my collection.

Agree with Joao and Nala. The Mantic zombies look awesome. I had a chance to get a pack of 10 of them as a promo deal, and ended up choosing Revenants instead. I still regret the decision!

Yes teh revenatns are very much on the small side, i've been toying with the idea of combining their torsos with another model to make undead halflings or fairies or something.... either way they wont fit with my humans (where as the ghouls and Zombies fit in fine).

I hope to undercoat these now finished Sisters along with the Bertha model I dug out of my lead pile (to proxy as the last Sister Superior I need for the warband) to finish off the warband.
Technically I think they could still need one more sister for a full roster.... I'll just hope the warband doesn't do that well... lol .

£15 (completed listings on eBay) doesn't seem like a fortune, it seems like the price of a single GW character in the next year or so....

You bought the model, it's yours; do whatever you want with it, that's my policy.
