Thanks, JoaoS! The Lads were a pleasure to paint/model...having them so well received is a real plus.

The latest group of Horrors is the Pumpkin Head Jones Gang (minis & name from West Wind). These Lads are also roaming around my Maudeheim thread in the Scenery Section...you might consider that as a warning. Be that as it may, HERE THEY ARE:

Fabulous! You did a very good paintjob on the WWP scarecrows. Makes me want to go back to mine and repaint them (I originally used a lot of drybrushing, so I kind of ruined the painting).

Speaking of scarecrows, have you seen these little chaps?

Thanks Joao! I appreciate the feedback...glad you like the Lads. Someday my photos may match up withe the way the minis actually look...or not.

The Foundry Guys, especially the Little Pumpkin Head, look TERRIFIC; thanks for the lead. I'll check out The War Store to see if they have them in their Foundry listing...that should keep my wallet slim.

WOW. These guys look great! The very bright colors really make them stand out, and I love the dopey-yet-dangerous giant. Kinda reminds me of "Master-Blaster" from MadMax Beyond Thunderdome.

Thanks for the kind words, Guys! The bright colors may be my reaction to the current limited palette/subdue coloring "in thing".
Thus far my Little Horror have only haunted my waking hours...scarier things await me in my dreams.
AND, now that you mention it, George does have a certain resemblance to Master Blaster.

While it may not have initially been intended, Labyrinth has had a decided influence on my Spooky Wood Project. My friend Fabio even made these Guys for moi (more photos on page 3):

Thanks, Spectre. I think Fabio, aka drakkol, did a splendid job capturing the Labyrinth characters...he even did tiny mushrooms with faces like my larger ones.

The Wizard with No Name is a fun little figure. Does he come with all that detail or did you embellish and enhance the diminutive enchanter?

Thanks, Amigo....he was fun to paint. The part before painting was somewhat less fun. While playing around with his staff I managed to snap it off. Then trying to pin the staff screwed up his hand; SO I replaced the staff with a plastic rod, sculpted a thumb, & added the original top...it was now too tall. The scroll was then added to hide the height. Here's what it started as:
