| Excellent choice of minis and some nice painting. One easy technique for eyes is to paint them black with two small white dots in each corner. | |

| Yeah i am still working on my eye painting skills.
Currently i use the black dot, smaller white dot and small black, brown, blue or whatever color i like technique.
The problem is that eyeas are so small on these minis. Sometimes i get them really fine, like with my alchemist of my arabian nomads warband, sometimes they are just as mediocre as on most of my chapel guard minis.
Practise, practise, practise is the motto here.

The effect of metallic colours is ok but not breathtaking.
NMM on the other side is too difficult for me.
Maybe you have some suggestions. Have you tried Citadel Washes? Using a Devlan Mud or Ogryn Flesh wash on gold-ish metals or a Badab Black wash on silver-ish metals or both on ageing or battered metals (the second layer applied once the first is dry) makes a world of difference. They dry matt and they are quite subtle in the way they change the colour beneath (so multiple layers won't over-darken) but the effect is quite striking! I completely agree, and you can experiment - Gryphonne Sepia can help metals look tarnished, Asurmen Blue or the purple one (name escapes me) can give a magical feel. The washes really do work well with metallics.

I think it is fine with golden colors but i doesn'twork well with metallic or silver colors. Maybe i will experiment more in future. I need to buy those washes though.

| I've been using acrylic ink washes for a while now...they add depth &, with the gold/brass, a warmth. The brand I've been using lately is Daler-Rowney ( www.daler-rowney.com )...they're an English outfit. | |

| So i finished my last minis for the Bretonnian chapel guard. The first one is the last squire ans maybe hero to be: and the last pictures are from my last two battle pilgrims: Especially the battle pilgrims made a lot fun during painting. I think in learned some things about highlighting dark cloth. It is not godd yet but i know now how to improve in future. The metal technique i haven not improved on this one it is the same old style as my other metal armor minis. I hope i will use your tipps the next time. I hope you like them and i hope to see some other Bretonnian chapel guards out there sometime. | |

| LOOKIN' GOOD! I like the Knight's leonine shoulder plates. You have more depth to your colors with this batch, & the eyes turned out very nicely. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Now that's a warband with character! I used to play Bret's myself, back when I played WHFB and I still have a soft spot for them. You sir, hit that spot perfectly Very cool painting, especially on the pilgrims, and lovely basing | |

| Thanks for your feedback. I am also happy that you like the minis as much as i do. I am currently thinking about my next project. It could be a BtB merchant caravan. Or maybe a battle monks of cathay warband. I bought a full lot of oriental minis designed by Ally Morrison (80s). I also found a werewolf mini, so i could expand my BtB marauders to a Norse warband. Maybe a treasure hunter warbands with the coolest minis of the last decades or an Reiklander warband bases on Cadwallon minis? Oh it is hard to decide and to motivate me to start.

| I know the feeling. So many ideas, so little time. Cadawallon Reiklanders sound really cool though Looking forward to see where you choose to start | |

| This minis fits very nicely in my existing warband.
Maybe I need to adjust the base so he is totally in line with my warband.
